  1. Haywood started off hot. Can they turn the ship around against Chester Co.?
  2. I agree that Crockett has jumped off to a stellar start and that Johnny Jones is the real deal. However, I think some of the publicity surrounding haywood has contributed to the chaos on the field. I'm predicting an "upset", Haywood wins, albeit a close one.
  3. I've watched the kid several times and he does live up to the hype. Extremely fast and a QB's nightmare. He is one of the best in the country and still has two seasons to develop. Highly recruited and worth the interest. Being listed on ESPN's 300 at 143 isn't exactly handed out to subpar players. Haywood's other DE is a stud as well (I believe he's class of 2015) and with those two bookends, watch out. Haywood doesn't show up on anyone's radar because of the past few years with little success but I predict after the upcoming season, that will change. They have a roster full of young athletes that got a lot of PT last season and the program seems to have turned a corner. Liberty (loaded with studs) is on a lot of lips and Crockett (great program with a lot of talent and support) pops up too, but I expect Haywood to get some notice going forward.
  4. I haven't seen Giles Co play but I have kept up with them and this will be a good game. I am not a fan of either team as I think no one can hang with Fulton for 4 qtrs but I will say this...........Giles' defense better be aware of Trez's #9. If he makes it outside of the tackles, he is going to make you pay. Watch #7 as he realeases out of the slot or as a TE because he has great open field speed. I hope Giles can win it but those of you on here that keep referring to Trezevant's debacle at state-forget it. This isn't the same team and if you bring up that there is only 35 players, you may get shocked. I will quote a player whom I overheard coming off the field with those kids, "those are the fastest and hardest hitting #### we've seen all year." Like I said, I could care who wins as my team is out but I'm giving fair warning, don't underestimate them because they are small and an inner city school. They love "haters".
  5. Northside is going to get taken to the woodshed by Covington. Period. No way NS gets lucky 3 in a row.
  6. Anxious to see who comes out of this quad. Liberty is my pick over Craigmont -even though they are playing a freshman qb-he's a play maker. Haywood may shock Trezevant-I suppose those boys are upset after throwing a game away in the last minute. Northside will fall to the Chargers-those Indians can't get lucky 3 weeks in a row. Dyersburg will own Crockett. After this week, it's going to get interesting. It will all depend on what team shows up for each school. All have had their moments and all have shown their weaknesses.....................................Go BIG or Go HOME.
  7. I watched the JCM game against Haywood and I also watched the Northside/S.Gibson game. If Haywood's defense plays as well against Northside as it did against JCM, Haywood could come away with a win. Either way, I think this is going to be a great game considering the affect it can have on seedings.
  8. Who comes out on top in this one? Does Haywood have what it takes?
