  3. They haven't attended in the past but would take that tournament to the next level. Heard Union County will be attending this year, that should shake a few weights up.
  4. Sure, I agree with you that this year D2 has a grasp on the competition and you are correct when looking at the season as a whole. However, my original statement was talking about today and how Bradley had a much stronger showing than Cleveland. "IrishDad" is confusing what my original statement was. My claim was that Father Ryan did not wrestle well today in the finals or like the team they have been hyped up to be. Trust me when I say I have no bias in this tournament, however, off this tournament alone, Bradley looks very strong. But you can't base a season off one tournament, well until state.
  5. I don't believe we are discussing previous years and to find those 2014 forums you are going to have to scroll back quite some ways. I believe we are discussing the Bradley Tournament (hense the name of the forum). Where, in the finals, excluding out of state kids, D-1 won 5 bouts where D-2 won 2. Hmmmmm, that's funny
  6. IrishDad, I don't believe anywhere when I mentioned home field advantage did I mention the 195 pound bout. The victory there had nothing to do with home field advantage, that was a 1-0 win with an escape that reflects that wrestlers ability to get off bottom. I was referring to the tournament as a whole. Obviously when the Bradley boys are in front of a huge bear crowd, they are going to be wrestling their top game. Just like in a few weeks when we travel to Father Ryan, those kids will have an advantage wrestling in front of their fan base. I admire your attempt to debacle my information that was actually useful to add your "2 cents" but granted, maybe leave the FaceTime at home and attend the event if you're going to talk about the atmosphere of the tournament. thank you though for your wonderful insight
  7. Ashton over Flint Hicks over Simpson McElhaney over Eason (pin) Chalifoux over Mullen (6-2) Sinpson over Parker (10-1) Fuller over Patterson Beyer over Key Sells over McMahan (#2 matchup) Olivieri over Schrimsher Chancey over Kennedy Brown over Hooker (FRHS salty about this one) Rechstiener over Stacey Seabolt over Darvin (pin) Not a great showing in the finals by Father Ryan, clearly weren't wrestling to their potential. Home advantage seemed to play a part but if FRHS had a full line up I think the results would differ. Some big upsets and key matches in the consolation rounds. Shrader vs Martinez and a few others. Definitely will be some tweaking to the rankings, especially in the little boys
  8. Finals Match ups: 106: Tucker Flint (COM) vs Logan Ashton (Buf) 113: Christain Simpson (FRHS) vs TJ Hicks (Bradley) 120: Raymond Eason (FRHS) vs Ryan McElhaney (Bradley) 126: Luke Mullen (ND) vs Trey Chalifoux (FRHS) 132: Kirby Sinpson (FRHS) vs Hunter Parker (Bradley) 138: Knox Fuller (Bradley) vs Lucas Patterson (GIL) 145: Owen Brown (Com) vs Michael Diemer (Heritage) 152: Donnie Beyer (Bradley) vs David Key (Bro) 160: Colton McMahan (Kno) vs Matthew Sells (Blackman) 170: Brooks Schrimsher (Huntsville) vs John Olivieri (STE) 182: Cole Chancey (Com) vs Nolan Kennedy (WB) 195: George Hooker (FRHS) vs Brett Brown (Bradley) 220: Ben Stacey (FRHS) vs Bronson Rechstiener (ETO) 285: Jeremy Darvin (FRHS) vs Levi Seabolt (GIL) Due to track issues, this tournament was a little slow but all issues were on track's end. Eventually had to go over to paper system because of so many issues. Several "upsets" this weekend and we aren't done yet. Notible matches: The final with Trey Chalifoux and Luke Mullens should be a banger as well as 113 is a classic match up of the former 106 state champs, that's become some what if a rivalry. I wish Kirby and fuller were in the same weight, wouldn't mind seeing a rematch of last weekend. Job Dooley over Calvin Martin and then went on to lose to TJ Hicks 5-7. Saw both and looked good. Father Ryan's heavyweight seems to be a stud and showed he could win in when the team needs it with an over time victory in the semis. Has #9 ranked kid in the nation in the finals but against TN opponents looked strong. 126 bracket could have potential AAA, A/AA, and D2 state champs, with Shrader, Chalifoux, and Mullen Finals should be interesting.. Father Ryan only up on Bradley by 16 going into Consi-Semis, might be a close race with FRHS having starters out. Always a great tournament with really good match ups.
  9. anyone know where you can see brackets or a list of those entered?
  10. No offense, you don't really don't know what you're talking about, we are talking about MTSU compared to D1 teams and the fact that they are still a "club" program. Yes they have some state champs and placers, but what I'm saying is you don't see the top notch guys going here and some of those guys could actually go to places more impressive.
  11. This weekend i believe is Virginia Beach. Who all is competing? what guys have a shot at placing?
  12. MTSU is a club program, you can not argue that. They are in the same division as UT's team who anyone can join for 100$ and come and go as you please. Same thing, MTSU just takes their team a little more serious and has the funds to provide scholarships. Still, the original topic of this forum is where seniors are signing so WrestlingGod, please keep your uneducated comments off of here and if you would like a page do talk #### please create a separate forum. MTSU has nothing special about their program and are the same as any club program and deserve the classification of "club" because THATS WHAT THEY ARE. No offense, but that team wouldn't be able to compete against the guys of the next level and is majority of mediocre wrestlers from high school in TN.
  13. Lots of these boys competed today and had a good showing at the AAU spring nationals
  14. impressive showing of our TN boys
  15. Josh Filbey is playing football at Appalachian State i believe and John Kramer signed to wrestle at Lindenwood University which is in Saint Charles, Missouri
  16. Is the "All Mid-State" teams different than the "Dream team" awards? i REALLY hope they didn't change the Dream team to each division.

  18. Welder is arguably the best coach in TN
  19. Not to mention other studs and state placers like Ryan Konz, Gabe Hamilton, Chip Brothers, Alex Bennett, Zach Bennett, Bond Davis, Dustin Ortiz, Kyle Lee, and several others.
  20. Best wrestling program in Middle TN. Never had any of my boys come through here but the quality guys it makes is outstanding compared to the rest of the clubs. WOSBO usually has a TSSAA State Champion every year and top notch guys like McCoy Newberg, John Shrader, Kelly Felix, Patrick Dooley, Josh Filbey, Parker Smith, Luke Hamilton, Justin Cash, Jacob Freeman, Tristan Roa and MANY MANY more! I know these are all great wrestlers, but Coach Welder will also turn these guys into great men. Highly recommend this club for peak wrestling performance as well as growing your sons faith and morals.
  21. Who all for TN will be attending this event? will this be a good tournament?
  22. I apologize to everyone else for your ignorance. Dooley would pin this kid any day of the week and was up against him 8-2 before he made last minute mistake. It was a fluke pin and wouldn't happen again, i bet money. Also, check your stats or maybe go to the tournaments you feel the need to comment on. I agree that it was hard for coaches to pick regional teams based on the fact there was no regional tournament but still you know who is the best in each weight and each region with out the tournament honestly. And the Saturday before the team competition proved who was the best in each weight which i believe each weight the champion ended up on top even though some of the upper weigh state titles are handed out basically. TD2- Im not sure your name or your credentials, however your posts recommend you are uninformed and just to sharp conclusions. It is ignorant to assume that someone was consuming alcohol at the tournament let alone your points are outright dumb. If WrestlingGod made a second account i would assume it was you because your posts are irrelevant and ignorant I think this last Saturday clarified who the future studs are, end of story.. Be ready for the future, may it behold lots of Blue Raiders and a few random studs along the way, this future freshman class is loaded Go Blue Raiders is all i have to say for the next couple years, no competition to this Middle School team as a whole
  23. Job Dooley is Patrick Dooley's little brother and i would assume he would follow his brother and attend Franklin High School and give Jack Shrader a solid work out partner
  24. Agreed, i saw him compete at a tournament last year.. If all three go 106 next year, there will be some close matches. Dooley, Whiteside, and him will all probably wrestle 106
  25. Whiteside and Dooley are both top of the freshman class.. Id say top 3 are Reinchie, Dooley, Whiteside
