  6. I've said this before on other pages... The Ref this year are out of control! They want to sit there and play judge, jury and executioner over 14-18 young men and their coaches. I've witness and heard a ref say he wouldn't make a call because one of the coach's kept pointing it out. Really? Because that coach is "helping" you do your job you aren't going to call something? Thats sad I guarantee that if you have an anonymous poll for all of the ref's this year that, about 30% say they make calls based not on field play or rules but emotions, i.e not liking a coach, school or player, fan interaction, coach calling for c
  7. One thing that is true... The refs had no control of the game. From the get go there were cheap shots that both teams got away with and it escalated into a few nasty incidents. What I did HATE is the FV QB #8 took a blindside hit from #76 I believe after his interception. And he was nowhere near the play. After he got up he may have said some words to him. So there were flag thrown for both occurrences. They called FV for the unsportsmanlike but picked up the blindside hit because "there isn't an 'targeting' calls in high school". Unsportsmanlike? Unnecessary Roughness? Nahh, lets just waive it and get outta here. As a ref you've got to nip stuff like that in the bud from the get go. Stop the game. Call over both head coaches and have them talk to their players. If not stuff like this can and will happen. Thankfully none of the players on either side were hurt seriously
  8. 2 wasn't ejected. Thanks for the input though
  9. #30 Austin Walker for FV should get big praises tonight. At 5'7 155 held his own going against Mizzou Commit Paul Adams (6'6 270). Gave him fits all night!
