The old skilletheads don't understand that the water is running the other way in the county now and after a couple more seasons it will be a flood. There will be a lot of those little skilletheads looking for room at the inn and many of the dyed in the wool orange skilltedheads will be sending their younons with their lunches packed and in hand to the land of purple.

I suppose it is possible, a blind dog runs into a bone once and awhile. The fact is that MC's enrollment is going to continue to increase while SP will remain constant at best. Until consolidation the scales will be tipped heavily in MC's favor. I for one would love for at least one more closely contested game of the ages before it is all over.

Skillethead disclaimer: This will be my annual "Pittsburg is not in good condition post." VictRoy historically does not do a good job of getting his teams into shape for the beginning of the season. Many years they play themselves into shape as the season progresses but especially early on your gonna see the rabbits cramping up late in the game. Pittsburg is not alone on this it happens to a lot of teams.

I agree, I really thought this was a bad match up for Dunlap.

MC is getting a tailback transfer from UA, but it is being held up by Saban. His is going to live in the back storeroom at Hale's Supermarket and work parttime at Ronnie's as a bouncer.

Rumor has it that those SP boys who went over to LV tried to show up to practice at SP but they could find a parking spot for all the cars with Alabama, Georgia and Grundy County tags.

It is yet to be determined with the new crop of skilletheads but historically the skilletheads are more than adept at handling wet balls.

Bass is correct, SP will have to spread em out and loosen em up. Then they'll be ripe for some quick hitters up the middle.

Playing D is like chasing women, pursuit is one part but wrapping up is a whole other story.

MC has uncharacteristic depth on both lines for a small school. By the way, SP looks much stronger in the lineman category. It was their major flaw over the past few years, things are looking up.

Now I could be wrong and it was only the jamboree but Whitwell look as good as I seen them in a long time. Now they might go back to being Whitwell but I for one was impressed. They were organized and determined.

A previous poster said MC lacked depth in the line department. Obviously talking about that which is not known to him. MC doesn't just have linemen, they have offensive and defensive linemen. Very few small schools have the quantity or quality that would afford them the luxury of not having linemen playing both ways.
