Moving UC to 2A is a football season argument. Basketball and Baseball only have 3 public school divisions, where as football has 6. UC only has middle of the pack enrollment for 1A basketball and will likely never move to the 2A division.

I believe Peabody is the team to beat this year. Good players returning. UC could run a close second especially if they get good consistant play from Faulkner, Bruff, Harris, and Fuzzell.

BigSwo is correct. I was supervisor of a parent of a player several years ago. He asked to leave work early so he and others could go "meet" with the coach because they did not like the way he coached football. That was the coach just before Coach Bowling.

I'm looking at averages over the years. The less competitive teams, as I put it, don't constantly put together winning seasons.

TSSAA needs to consider bringing back 8 man football for the less competitive schools like SF, G'field, Gleason and Middleton.

That is the $64,000 dollar question. I suspect there is no support for the coaches in place or the coaches in place are not the best choice. Plus, the Middle School program has just begun to schedule "Real" opponents.

Agree with previous posts. This one gets ugly early. Don't think I would even dress players banged up against the Mustangs. 2nd team will be sufficient. Red Men not in same class as Tornadoes. Great opportunity for young guys to get experience. And this from a former Red Man.

Have to disagree with this one. Real championship game took place in round 3, UC vs. Humboldt. Either team takes it all.
