You have a good point here and that is if they even make the Region beacause they havent in two years, South Doyle has everybody back from a young team that could be very competitive Jeff still hassome gas in the tank and sevier is always well coached and west freshmen were really good. I would be shocked to see them in the Region this year but hey anything can happen oh and East graduated probably its best player in Matt Thompson this year so they are gonna have trouble scoring

no but they dont have to score a lot because of their defense, i guess it wasnt impressive but they are 29-4 so they aint gonna prove anything to anybody, and they made up for the first half by scoring 43 second half points

why wont they ? DB didnt look impressive to me against Sevier Co. and its at Jeff which gives a huge advantage and the style Jeff plays will mess with DB, in addition they have the bigs to clean anything up down low

I agree with most of this but I think the Sevier/Crockett game could go either way and the Cocke County/Tennessee High games could also I like Crockett DB, Jeff TN High with Jeff and Crockett in Finals

I agree I watch Jeff County a lot since im from the area and they are a very good team, have good wins and the only losses are Siegel ( undefeated ) Oak Ridge ( speaks for themselves) and a team from Bahamas, have wins over Sevier County Dobyns Bennett Karns and Halls, Karns is 13-2 and one of the best teams in Knoxville, So I consider Jeff the second best team in the Knoxville area and even east tennessee

I agree with you, either a Hampton fan or Elizabethton fan, i dont get up that way much but i dont see how u could put hampton ahead of science hill when they lost by 40 to them and i looked at elizabethtons schedule and they may have a decent record but it is so weak, yes i know they beat science hill and unicoi and by the way they came down to knox and got beat 2 out of 3 times, South doyle which is at the bottom of our conference and by my patriots who is one of the best teams in tennessee

I hear ya,I guess they do deserve some success from so many down years and having to deal with DB TN High and SH but the gap from those schools is getting smaller by the minute. Yea Science Hill might compete but i give Oak Ridge the best team in East Tn with second going to Jefferson County, have seem them play a lot this year and they look strong

Yea true but this year idk if I would rank them top 5 in east tn if you consider knoxville area including maryville and oak ridge, but yea they are used to a lot of sucess and they have a tough fan base that expects not only winning but winning big like 30 win seasons and they may not get 30 this year. I jus here good things about the Crockett coach and that he has brought a winning attitude which is making a big impact and I personally have seen them play a few times this year and I could see a state tournament birth within a year or so which speaks volumes. I see where u r coming from but i guess thats all it takes is one person(coach or player) to get a school enthusiastic and ready to compete big time .

I agree as far as sucess I would send my kid to just about anywhere in that area other than Crockett but now it is changing i guess. From what I have heard, the community and kids dont like the SH coach, idk his name but they love Good who was an assistant there for years and thats what kept the kids coming out year in and year out for basketball, but them not having much sucess this year is starting to change the minds of parents and kids.

Yes, but I heard from a friend up in the Johnson City area that he wouldnt be shocked if Crockett got to the state tournament next year or the year after. He said they are very sophomore dominated with possible transfers coming from SH

Yeah im from down around Knoxville area but I have connects in tri cities area, he went to SH dad got job at Crockett transferred, heard he put up 35 in a game, idc who u are any time 35 is put up is impressive especially from a sophomore

If im not mistaken I think they have 6 or 7 seniors, I know the starting 5 is and one is hurt and then maybe another one that doesn't play quiet as much as the rest

Thats a team I wouldnt want to play come tournament time, it wouldnt shock me if they made a good run, will be interesting to watch .

0nly time will tell with Tennessee High, they can be dangerous at times after watching them play. In addition it would not shock me if DB losses to Crockett, Boone, and TN High at some point in the season. To me this DB team is not a nightmare for anybody like they have been in the past. One thing they always have going for them is great coaching and solid fundamental players but but after watching them play 3 games I was not impressed.I came up for the game against David Crockett tuesday and thought Crockett should've won the game but had some key turnovers late in the game that went DB's way, but what can you expect from a young team like Crockett thats a working progress.
