I have heard from a very reliable source that a coach has been decided on and that an announcement is coming next week. I know that is vague, but I wasn't given the name of the coach or day. I was just told a coach has been decided on.

The thing about hiring someone with a spotted past with sideline antics is that you are sticking your neck out. If it was one time, maybe. If it was two, maybe, but after that you have to assume some things will not change. If Chuck or Randy had ever flipped off a crowd, threw a flag, been suspended or anything like that they would of been fired on the spot. The funny thing about success is that many people tend to overlook that you are molding the future and will sacrifice things they know are wrong for winning, I promise you this if Dresden had been losing during all these issues it would be no question that they wouldn't stand for it. I know I am going to anger some people, but that is my opinion. There are plenty of good coaches, teachers, and role models out there and Chuck and Randy will be sure and find one that fits.

Not going to happen.......if it was going to, it would be done already. That is what is taking so long. Everyone was not on same page with hire. You got to come to some common ground on someone and right now that is a tough pill for some to swallow.

Hot off the press, the new coach for Dresden is......Lane Kiffin. Yes folks thats right, Dresden landed Lane and are now under investigation by the TSSAA. Also, Phil Fulmer is Head Assistant Coach. Now, back to the weight room......

I will not reply again until a coach is hired. I have only stated what I know and got slammed for it. It is really sad that people have to make childish remarks to get their point across. It is fine you don't like what I have said but I have only tried to supply everyone with information I know to be true as of now. Good luck with the hire and hopefully it works out for everyone.

I am not stirring the pot just stating facts. I could say with 100% confidence that it won't be Chad but I like the concrete statement better. And YSA can read the signs, why can't anyone else? If it is getting cloudy and windy its going to rain. Also the principal is not the only one who has a say so in the hiring, he recommends and final say so is with director of schools.

Put it in concrete, it will not be Chad. According to my sources in the "Know" and a few others who are part of the team and guessing from what they have heard.

ha ha ha, lol...he may be a great guy but Dresden is not hiring him. He is too young and has no head coaching experience. You can put it in concrete, the hire will not be this guy from Union City. It would be a bad hire for Dresden and for the young man as well, he don't need the added pressure of coaching at his home town. He needs to prove himself as a head coach somewhere else first then he could come back home. One thing this should tell people is the hire will come from outside the program.

I really hope players don't run the program or make hires. If your telling me that 14-18 year old kids are going to decide what happens within the program than its in trouble. QB is not going anywhere. PERIOD, put it in concrete as well.......

Like I said before it won't be Hodge. You can put that in concrete. Whoever gets it they need the same support as the previous coach to succeed. You can't be upset, angry, or "out to get him" if the guy you want don't get it. I am assuming a hire will come last part of Spring Break (Friday) or early week after (Monday or Tuesday).

Hodge will not be the next coach at Dresden. Neither son has applied for the job, west or hewitt. The best ya'll can hope for is the coach at Gleason. That will be the pick, but has he applied? hmmm. No matter who coaches the parents need to support the proram, a coach does not make a program just like a preacher don't make a church.

Dresden has the best point guard in the region from the teams I have seen. She was a force last night. Mcalpin is pretty solid too. They will have to rebound to beat UC.

Dresden lost by 2 at West Carroll and won by 3 at home. I like the match up of the point guards and they could decide the game. It will also be critical for Dresden to shoot well because the tall girl from WC will be in the post to swat shots. Looks like OT tonight

broken collar bone is what appears to have happened. Sad to see her out again, she is a huge part of the team. Looks like a Gibson County vs. Union City title game-round 3. Union City should win and thats who I would put money on if I gambled.
