  1. I can't say I'm a fan of biscuits, for obvious reasons but I agree Jackson is a man amongst boys. He played close to half of last season with a high ankle sprain. Didn't complain once. I'm still learning the area so I don't know about all the surrounding talent but he's as good as any kid we played against last year and is working hard to get better. And yes, he's a class guy off if the field as well. No issues there.
  2. Thank you! This season will be fun. The kids reaction to their playoff loss has stuck out in my mind since it happened. I've been very impressed with how they decided to deal with it.
  3. Jeremiah Jackson was our most talented player period. Ask your own coach. Or any coach in the region. David put up great numbers and played excellent ball. Stats doesn't make someone the best. Let's not be silly.
  4. I'm confident too. They've given me reason to be.
  5. Our BEST defensive player? Really? You didn't watch many of our games. Our best per will be a Jr this season. Anyone that questions that probably doesn't know much about this topic. You lost your QB best 2 defensive players as well. We lost our best player last season prior to the playoffs and had an opportunity to beat yall then. I'm not crowning or predicting. As I stated in my first post, the kids that want it most will separate themselves from the rest. You don't comprehend well either I suppose.
  6. What did the Owls lose that is more than we are owning up to? We lost our biggest asset prior to the season end. It's clear what our biggest question mark is. The Canes lost a ton. The heart a soul of that team will not be suiting up there any longer. I don't know enough about Cleveland to make assumption so I'll stick to what I know. If we are messuring Ooltewah and East Hamilton it's safe to say EH lost more. On that alone we are better on paper.
  7. I've read these threads for a little while now. With the reaction I received today I'll certainly be around a lot more. I get a Birdseye view of these Owls all week long. I won't try to predict what other teams are or are not doing right now. I will, however, brag on our boys and the effort they are showing. This should be an interesting season!
  8. As I stated in my first post. I can't keep up with the history here being relatively new to the area. My idea of coming here was a little football talk and nothing more.
  9. Agreed John. Didn't set a good first impression I suppose. However, my original post wasn't about anything other than the kids.
  10. I don't care at all. I stated what I knew and I guess that made me appear to be someone else. I should probably have not offered to identify my self and just laughed it off.
  11. My point. I can't set up anything unless you message me for a number. Also I assumed if having a bloody Mary you were at least of legal age. Seems like you may be the one not willing?
  12. Lol my panties are not in a wad at all. Not even mad. Simply willing to prove a point that's all.
  13. Message me I'm free now. I'll buy you a beer.
  14. Ridiculous I can agree on. Too bad high school football talk brings out the conspiracy theorists lol
  15. Let's do this. Why don't we get passive, myself, and of course you, together? We are all local, right? I'm not hiding at all. I'm hoping you are a student. That would explain the lack of maturity. I'm actually off of work now and have all day. I'm seriously not hiding at all. Though I would rather not have all of my personal info on a website I know little about I'm not opposed to being completely transparent. If there is a private message feature here I'll gladly give you my number so we can set it all up. Sounds simple to me.
  16. How does someone new here start an account with enough posts to not be considered a fake? I'm not trying to reinvent anyone. I have a kid on the team. And don't have to hide behind a screen name. I also have a career and a family. That doesn't allow me to stay glued to a message board, posting daily, trying to establish the proper amount of posts to be considered legitimate. I thought I could come here from time to time, share what I know, and possibly learn a little along the way. Guess I'm in the wrong place.
  17. I honestly find it a bit silly that based on my post I'm accused of being someone else. How old are you guys? I happen to be grown.
  18. I can assure you that I'm not PassiveAggressive. Never met or spoke to him. Nothing to lie about on a high school football message board
  19. I'm not going to try to talk history of the area with you guys. Having been here less than 5 years I don't stand a chance. However, I do know about this current Owl team. The underclassmen took their playoff loss very seriously. A large amount started their 2014 journey the week after the loss to East Ham. That group of kids has grown. They're a competitive bunch that I'd stack up against anyone around. This team won't be held hostage by a single player this year. The only uncertainty is which QB will win the starting job. Both are capable. Both will give it their all to lead the team. We'll be deeper at RB than last year barring injuries. Our WR core imo is the deepest in our division, they will have a balanced mix of speed, and height(we lacked last season). On defense we're just a year more mature and experienced, I don't expect to give up the big play as often that seemed to kill us last year. The kids that want it the most will be the ones that separate themselves from the pack. I believe these kids have that.
  20. I've followed this team rather close for the last few years. This Owls team only has one unanswered question, which is QB. From my understanding it's a 2 man race as Hayes will start at WR. Either option should be at the minimum a good game manager. Neither have the arm of Binder but both have a capable arm and decent knowledge of the position. One will be a senior the other a Jr. I feel like the WR position they will be extremely deep. Hayes and Turner will return as starters while some underclassmen will compete for the remaining spots. They have an undersized but very sure handed Jr that I like a lot and another kid that looks to be 6'4 with great hands and based on the little I saw in a workout at D1, he had incredible ability to shift his body in air to make the catch. RB will be a combo of players that will provide different looks. If the QB play is steady I expect this team to be better than last year. I hear most of these boys started training hard for this season the day after their loss to East Ham in the playoffs.
