  1. Yes Cookeville is 4-0 in district right now. We are 14-8 overall with 4 losses of only 1 run. Hopefully we are going in the right direction and finishing better against quality opponents. I don't know anything about the rest of the district other than Warren Counties team is better than I have seen them in a long time. They are definitely the most improved team in the district I have seen so far. Haven't seen or heard anything exactly on Rhea County other than they are still very quick and the freshman pitcher is pretty good. We play them at Rhea County on Tuesday.
  2. I am just letting it go Indian. If we had started better it wouldn't have been an issue.
  3. Deleted that windy post. Truth is we could have played better. It is what it is.
  4. Actually I don't know the outcome but, Rhea has already played Warren. The problem with this is "most" teams don't report every game to Coach T. I know there are a couple of games still hanging out there. At any rate we will have plenty of time to get the tournament in before regional play begins. Good luck to all the teams playing and may they all play to their full potential. oh' and yes Cookeville did request not to play on Saturday because of prom. Rusty
  5. Daniel Boone High School always has a very good softball team.
  6. If your tournament was rained out this weekend and you want to make up those games, there are still spots available in the "Duff" in Cookeville on April 17 and 18 at Cane Creek Sports Complex. For info call Coach Jordan Webb @ Cookeville High School

Tigerpride23 I am proud of how the Dekalb girls are doing knowing how it has came from " their" hard work and sweat. I told several of them so after the Cookeville game. But....... Don't ever even in your wildest dreams start smack talking about this Cavs team. No excuses they were the better team that game but don't trick yourself into thinking it was anything more than just one game. I'm sure neither set of these ladies would appreciate it.

Just to put it out there. Cookeville will definitely be looking towards the Friday night game vs DeKalb. Being as Cookeville hasn't played a game as of yet and the Cookeville vs Upperman game for tonight has been rained out. We may have a couple of games in by then. It will be good to see this bunch of young ladies playing each other seeing as most of them have played a lot of travel ball with each other and know each other very well. Of course as a father of 2 of the Cookeville girls I would love to see them get the "W". As far as DeKalb looking good scoring that many runs without allowing but the 1 run is impressive. I expect we will see a lot of great play out of the DeKalb ladies this year. Several quality athletes on their team.

Not to leave anyone out. I know very little about Macon or Magnet , Cannon will be a threat with their pitching, Hale is pitching very well right now and there defense has improved a lot of the last couple of years. Livingston with be a threat with there defense and some offensive power. They have a couple of sophomore infielders with a lot of power that could change some games. With the experience they have in there starter they could be the Cinderella of 8AA.

I agree with its probably Upperman's to lose but, I have seen several of the girls from DeKalb come a long way with there hitting this past summer. If they play as a team and hit like they are able they could do very well in district play. Also they have a real talented freshman pitcher who is also a very good hitter. I believe there pitching rotation will have enough depth that they will always have a fresh arm. should be some great district play in 8AA this year.
  11. I agree with you on those. Just wondering who is pitching in 6AAA. I know Gardenhire will probably do most of the pitching for White County. I don't have a clue about any of the rest. I know Warren has a few younger girls don't know who will start. don't know anything about Rhea County. Rachel will be a force to reckon with at Stone.Really not sure who will start for Cumberland County.
