Clearly out coached. Never looked like we cover special teams in practice? It was bad. Offensively, no blocking(consistently getting man handled)! QB ran for his life again. Made a bad decision on pick. Receivers not knowing routes 5 games into the year? Defense just got tired! There really is no way the offense should be struggling the way it is. Everybody seems to see it but Mallory? When you lose you want to point fingers- mine is pointed directly at him. He thoroughly got out coached tonight. 5 games in and we are still talking about the same stuff! A good coach will make some sort of adjustment. Tell me where any of you have seen an adjustment? It's very frustrating knowing that you can and should be performing better! The season is not over with, but we have got to find an identity. You have other coaches Mallory! They get paid! Use them!

I agree with Tis on this one. Offensively we have to find something that is gonna help our defense. East Ridge had speed and and we stopped them. Malik Davis will test our corners this week. Kid can play. Stamper is a beast at the DE position. Our line has got to find a way to gel. This is a huge game for both teams.

The Pounders will host the Lions in a pivotal 6AA battle. Both the Lions and Pounders need this victory to get a notch in the win column. Can the Central offense finally get something going? Does the Red Bank offense have anything for the dominant Central defense? Things will be rocking on the hill Friday night!

Nobody gave Central a chance last year either. I think the folks from Jasper will be surprised at the athletes we are gonna throw at them Friday. If we can take care of the football, I like our chances. They haven't seen the team speed that we have. I'm not saying we are gonna win, but this is not gonna be a pushover for Jasper.

Really hope that Central can hold it together with losing Forgey and Swafford to season ending injuries. Offense has to get rolling. Have to have a great practices this week. Defense will have their hands full with Mr. Zemen!

Agree with you fish. It looks like we have about 8 plays in our play book? Pretty vanilla. Tough loss. Doesn't get any easier with Marion coming to the hill this week.

Just a awful performance by the offense. QB made som bad decisions. Line didn't block in certain situations. Turnovers. Bad night all the way around. Defense is terrific. We just got to put the two together. Still a lot football left.

Fish, just hope the kids continue to get better. Any word on Funk. You are right, this weeks game is huge. It goes a long way for respect and the district standings. I try believe our boys will be ready.

Tillery is a athlete. He has some weapons to throw the ball to. Running wise, I like I our chances on stopping their backs. This week our secondary has to play big. Our offense has to take care of the ball. Will this be the week they bring back Funk?

We just have to let our talking take place on the field. Really proud of the way the boys have came out playing. East Ridge will be another huge test for us. Our boys know what the stakes are. They will be ready. I know this.....2-0 is a whole lot better than 0-2!

I agree. However, we never get any respect whatsoever! Just got to keep working hard and proving people wrong. Very exciting times on the hill!

I think it's funny that we win two games and everybody says that we haven't played anyone? That's fine. I like the underdog role. Keep giving our boys fuel for momentum.

Chattanooga Central(2-0) travels to East Ridge(0-2) for a pivotal district contest. Central is coming off a shutout win of Polk County 24-0. East Ridge is coming off a defeat from Notre Dame 34-20. Key questions....Can the Central defense continue to dominate against a loaded East Ridge offense? Can Centrals offense continue to put enough points on the board? One thing for certain, there will be plenty of athletes in this hard hitting game. What does everyone think?

Pounder 1, if ButterBean is running the ball, it has been a long night for us. He is at about 340!

Final preparations are being made by both squads today. Let's all just pray that both teams play with sportsmanship and neither team has anybody hurt. Can't wait till tomorrow night. Go Pounders!

Yes Tis. You? I am just thankful that we don't have to face that FB and that safety again this year. Those boys could play. Just hope our boys play disciplined football. Offense has got to put points on the board to give our defense a chance. Love the drive to Polk. Love the community atmosphere. Really hope that our community in Harrison will make that drive to support our boys.

Central can't afford to take anyone lightly. We are in the process of just trying to establish ourselves. New regime, new philosophies and just trying to get our community behind our boys. We have nothing but respect for coach Davis, his staff and players. They will be ready to play in front of their home crowd! Can't wait for Friday.

Polk County fans. Where is the best place to eat prior to the game? Is the Dam Diner any count?

One thing for sure is that Polk will be ready to defend its home field this Friday. I keep saying it....Can Central get the ball to its playmakers on offense to exploit Polk's team speed? Our defense works well against the run. They will have to play another week of disciplined football. This is a different team that Polk blasted last year. A win in Polk would be huge for our program.

I agree with you fish. Central is coming off a big win. Coach Davis is a great coach and he will have his kids ready to play. The question is....can Central move the ball on a consistent basis to give the defense a break? Going to Polk and winning is never easy, however, it would be huge for our confidence early in this young season. Another key question... Will our thoroughbred Funk be back? Kid is a difference maker!

Does anyone know if the Wimberly kid was a senior last year? I believe he had 20!tackles in last years game. Kid could play also.
