  1. I love how humble you are Blaze. You know it doesn’t matter where this one is played.. Blackman wins by 14+
  2. I am biased too, I think Hendersonville will most definitely give them all they want. Guess we’ll see week 10. Until then, good luck and see you down the road
  3. 06’-08’ The good old days. Lassiter vs. Hatfield. Both teams wouldn’t give an inch.
  4. Sad, man! I remember having absolute battles with Gallatin whenever we played. Wasn’t that long ago.
  5. Couldn’t agree more. Strictly speaking about Hendersonville, I’m glad we schedule tough non conference opponents.. Only way to get better is play too competition
  6. With Game 1 is in the books, How does everyone see this playing out.
  7. Proud of our guys and their play for the most part. Kids played extremely hard. I think the play that changed the game was when it was 14-10 and Hendersonville was driving late in the 3rd to score, got stopped at the Blaze 25 after going for it on 4th down. Momentum shifted. Then the Blaze scored on 75 yard run the very next play. To make the score 21-10. Quick swing and Hendersonville couldn’t ever get the momentum back. Congrats to Blackman! Y’all are going to have a great year. See you in the playoffs
  8. Doesn’t seem like there’s too much interest in this one. Excited to see it get kicked off tonight with the freshmen game. I’m really looking forward to the varsity game tomorrow. I think it’s going to be very competitive. How are things over in Blaze land this week?
  9. I think the guys definitely have the chemistry. This will be a very senior lead team with a lot of experience. I think it comes down to three things in deciding the outcome of this game. 1. Our qb play in his first varsity start? 2. Can we limit the self inflicted wounds with turnovers and penalties? 3. Can we limit Blackman’s explosive plays? Personally, I think this is going to be a fantastic game that could go either way.
  10. I know what they have coming through the pipeline and find that hard to believe as well
  11. What did you hear from the Blackman/Franklin scrimmage? Haven’t seen anything about that one
  12. I won’t speak on your predictions for any of the other teams but I will disagree on the 4-6 Hendersonville prediction. Waaayyy to much experience coming back to underachieve that bad.
  13. Hendersonville travels to Siegel this Friday for the first pre season scrimmage. Will give us a decent idea of what to expect from the squad to start the season. Who is everyone else scrimmaging in the next week or so?
  14. Yes he did play. Didn’t get to see much of him running because he was immediately blown dead when touched.
  15. He’s still teaching at HHS but no longer coaching.
  16. Hendersonville returns 9 starters on Defense and 8 on Offense. After spring practice, junior Drew Hohenbrink looks to be the leading candidate at quarterback. He’s a big kid with a big arm, 6’3 225 but didn’t get much Varsity time last year behind Brett Coker. The offensive line and TE all return and must improve from last year. Running back should be a strength for this team offensively, with Derek Kincaid and Logan Spurrier being the “go-to” guys. Defensively there is a lot of experience returning but I didn’t think we were very good on that side of the ball last year. Hopefully we will be improved but how much is up in the air. Will be interesting to see what type of identity this team has under the new leadership of James Beasley. We scrimmaged Nolensville during spring. I think the score was 8 scores to 0 with our varsity and JV each scoring 4 a piece. Hard to say how good/bad we will be from spring practice but they seemed to play hard.
  17. No problem. I wish we were still 5a
