  1. http://rhsfootballalumni.com/video20140822.asp Inside RHS Football - Rockwood Vs. Oneida (8/22/2014) What stuck out to me was Oneida's passing game or lack of: Att-Comp-Int 3 of 5 and 1 interception, Passing yards 15. Rockwood 6-16 for 123 yards. Also Oneida had 216 rushing yards, in saying that Wartburg's Adam Kilby is a decent threat and experienced at RB, if he gets some good blocks Wartburg could put up some rushing numbers along with a few TDs, imo(v disregard this comment, lol.) I think Rockwood should win but I don't think it will be a defensive game like last week.
  2. When I was listening to the game on the radio(I was at the Scott vs McCreary massacre, lol) when they went into the half only down 7-0 I knew Rockwood had a chance but when Oneida went up 13-0 with around 4 minutes left I thought like everyone else "the Indians have this game in the bag" then we all know what happened. Maybe Rockwood just got lucky or once they got it to 13 - 7 there was just no room for mistakes and Oneida made the kind that get you beat. Like Copper Basin being up 26-8 over Coalfield early then next thing you know it's 32-34 Coalfield about the same score amount but reversed in their favor but they had a whole half to make a comeback. Oh, and here's a pic of TL by his son. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BvV-MyfIMAAMEsU.jpg:large Heck my brother was a 5-9, 200 pound RB when he was 13 in 8th grade with a 6 foot QB. http://twitpic.com/eat3u9
  3. I can't believe Lambert's son is only 5 foot 7 and and playing QB. He must be a decent passer, mobile well coached by his dad or something. IDK how he can see over his O-line and the defense to pass. I've known way bigger junior high players in Scott/Oneida over the years at QB, even 7th graders. He's supposedly splitting the QB duty with someone else. Did anyone get a chance besides him at QB vs Rockwood?
  4. I think York beat Scott 5-1 August 1st & Kingston 5-2 in scrimmages via roanecounty.com I'm not sure how many starters YIA & OS return either. I'd did see pics of the Scott scrimmage: http://www.fentresscouriernews.com/yai-football-scrimmage-vs-scott-co-august-1-2014/ -28 pics. I know both YIA & Scott played Cumberland last year with a similar outcomes. York 33-14 & Scott 48-21(I attended this game) which Scott had a good 7-3 playoff team that played Elizabethton and lost by 7 with one TD that was called back I believe and had a fumble near their own 20 resulted in an Elizabethton score.
  5. Yeah I predicted Oneida by 17 too, Rockwood [14] got that right, Oneida [31]. I was right on the Oneida score if you flip the numbers LOL. Anyway, I'll take Rockwood FTW by 14, [28]-[14].
  6. I'm taking Harriman too in this one. I think the score will be as bad for Sunbright as last week's game with King's Academy. IMO TKA's QB and RB looked good in the 1 minute news segment I saw on WVLT's Countdown To Kickoff and we'll be able to compare the two(Harriman -TKA) since King's plays Hancock this week.
  7. I've been trying to find info the last few weeks about OHS/Scott's team progress, others they play or Campbell, AC, Oak Ridge for example via Twitter, FB and the net but hadn't been able to get many details at all especially on scrimmages. Everything has been hush-hush instead hut-hut. Most of what I've found out has come from CoachT via posts from fans like you guys.
  8. Who all have they scrimmaged and what were the scores?
  9. I totally agree bigtime, fans can say "you should've done that or this instead" but there's alot more that goes into it than just picking a play. There is scouting, team management, picking the right scheme each week and more. I remember when Lambert first came to Huntsville Middle under Coach Diggs in the early 90s. It takes time for coaches to develop just like athletes. Schools aren't just plugging a coach in the system and saying "win or lose this is a permanent coaching position and you'll never get fired." The coaches love the game like we do and want to succeed at it, plus help mature young men through dedication and sacrifice their time when they could be with their family at home during each season and no matter what they get paid that's really tough too.
  10. For the heck of it my guess: Rockwood [14] - Oneida [31]. I think Oneida scores 4 TDs and 1 field goal. [17] - [7] at halftime.
  11. Football this week!

  12. I saw the Rockwood vs Sunbright scrimmage via video(search: RHS Scrimmage 08/07/14 Vs Sunbright). I'm not sure what the score was but Rockwood's defense and run game looked decent, imo. Sunbright looked okay too. I'm not sure how they compare to Oneida, I didn't get to see them scrimmage but wanted to go to one.
