  1. Not sure that I would say the region is very down. Its just the have and have nots (like most regions). 3 VERY good teams and 3 not so good teams. Rossview is down but Lebanon is way up. SC and WC seem to be about where they always are. SC is getting better (D is pretty solid) and WC seems to be getting worse. I think SC gets the 4th playoff seed. Anyway...I agree this should be a great game with both times having a great chance to win. Turnovers will play a huge factor for sure. Hopefully HHS can keep that aggressive Lebanon D from causing any.....will be a challenge for sure.
  2. You should beat LaVergne. Station Camp will be a toss up. Where do you see the 4th win coming from?
  3. Putting up 24 against that D will be a tall task!! Good luck Friday in what should be a great game!!
  4. lol. They were all beasts!! I kid when I say that...just couldnt resist. I think Gallatin has so much athleticism and talent on their roster. There is no doubt that if they put it all together that they are def capable of beating HHS and any other team on their schedule. I am def not counting their season as a lost cause and I do expect them to win most remaining games...just hopefully not at HHS.
  5. What a great analysis!! Really enjoy your insight. I will add a little more. SC had a pick 6 against HHS, so their O only scored 7 and it was late in game against backups. You are correct that 1st D only gave up 7 against Beech. With that being said, SC and Beech offenses were REALLY bad. They struggled up front as well. I look for Lebanon offence (even with their struggles) to be considerably better than Beech and SC. HHS D gave up several long busted plays against Blackman and Centennial. I think they have gotten that somewhat under control. Will be a big test to see if they have gotten better when trying to slow down Lebanon QB. I think a big factor in this game is how does the HHS QB play? He will get much more pressure on him this week than he has had since the Blackman game. He will have to make good decisions and make some needed throws to keep the Lebanon D from totally loading up against the run. He is definitely capable. He is also very good at running the ball and running then option when called upon. This really should be a great game!! Glad its at HHS.
  6. HHS is def not a finesse team. Quite the opposite actually. Physical Oline play is what has lead them this year. When you are scoring 40+ points a game and dont really throw the ball its hard to be considered a finesse team. Would be curious to know your thoughts on what makes them a finesse team. Now...will they be able to run the ball effectively against an incredible Lebanon defense? Will find out Friday. I think they will hold their own against Logue...yes he will make some plays but I just dont see him dominating the HHS Oline. HHS has two big very experienced tackles that are very familiar with Logue. Anxious to see how big 78 for HHS holds his own against Logue. Will be a very tough task but I think he is up for the challenge. As for the HHS defense. It is getting better every week. Giving up 28 to Blackman is actually pretty solid considering what they have done to other teams. Centennial has a really good offense. Scored 60 on Independence. Giving up 26 to them is is not a bad reflection either. As for Beech...they really held them to 7 points. was 45-7 end of third. Beech scored 3 4th quarter TD's against the HHS 3rd team Defense. The Lebanon QB def worries me. He is special and pretty much beat us last year by himself. I do think the HHS D will be better at containing the edge this year. Should be a very physical low scoring game. I still say that whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game.
  7. Blackman by as much as they want!! Running clock and ALL the Blaze players get some playing time Friday!!!
  8. Def thought that was an odd prediction. Also dont see the Commandos going 6-4. They do have some very tough games in Lebanon, Franklin, Mt Juliet...but doubt they lose all three. Only way they lose to Gallatin at home on Sr night is if Corey Lewis, Jordan Mason, TD Woods and Jeff Holt suit up!!
  9. He has done a really good job so far. Runs the offense extremely well. An added weapon is when he runs the ball. Runs the option great when those plays are called.
  10. Who wins? Huge matchup in region 4-6a this Friday. Commandos looking to avenge a disappointing loss to Lebanon last season. This game has major implications on determining region title hopes and playoff seeds for both teams. Winner has a clear path to 2 seed at worst. Lebanon has some MONSTERS on defense and crazy athletic QB. Commandos have their running game rolling strong and defense is getting better by the week. Commandos will have to mix it up and work in some passes to keep Lebanon from loading up against the run. Will be a huge test for Commando QB and offensive line. I believe they are up to the task. Not ready to make prediction yet but I do think whoever wins the turnover battle will probably win the game. Looking forward to a great game. Go Commandos!!
  11. Def goes in cycles. Beech freshmen look great and both middle schools will be sending lots of talent. Just a down year but it won’t last long. Future is bright next few years on shackle island. This was my last year to have a kid playing in the rivalry. 78 is my son. Has started since he was Soph took the last two years against Beech prettt hard. Glad he got to finally experience a victory in the rivalry. Future looks good for both teams!! Good luck the rest of the season
  12. Actually Beech is not as young as everyone keeps saying. Inexperienced yes but not that young. Most of starting Oline and Dline are Seniors this year. Beech def has some very good underclassmen running backs and athletes. HHS does as well. They ran 8 different backs in 1st half last night. Only 3 were Srs. HHS will have to replace the starting Oline but they have some capable kids that will be ready to step in. HHS backfield will be very good again next year and defense should be prettt solid. Will be a much more competitive game next year but I think HHS will have their number again next year. Beech has to get better at QB. Def a weakness for them this year
  13. And HHS is prettt dang good. Made for an bad combination
  14. Id say Lebanon def would disagree with that. Should be a great game with them and HHS next week. Lebanon D has some MONSTERS. I expect a low scoring game and hope HHS can keep the momentum going and get another victory. This is a HUGE game for both teams as far as playoff seeding and region title hopes go.
  15. Thanks Blaze!! Hope yall put it on the Bulldogs!! Tall have that machine rolling!! Look forward to hearing how you compare them to the Commandos.
  16. No doubt Crabtree will have them ready to play and will have an excellent game plan!! I fell good about this group of Srs at HHS this year. Have had a great week of practice. Commandos by 14
  17. Their D was pretty solid against HHS. Gave up 40 but a lot of that was due to turnovers. Neither team has much going offensively. SC has the better D. I say SC wins by 7
  18. Explosive offense like Lebanon? It seems offense is where Lebanon has struggled a bit
  19. Def was the case two years ago. Still don’t know how HHS lost that game. Well...I do...Crabtree had an excellent game plan and the kids executed it to perfection. Could def happen again this year. Hopefully the Srs on HHS remember that game and won’t let that happen again this Friday. Commandos by 14
  20. I think this is a very accurate prediction. I definitely believe HHS has much more experience. HHS should also win the battle up front on both sides of the ball. With that being said, I have no doubt that Crabtree will have his kids ready and will have an excellent game plan and try to control time of possession. Look for a lot of smash mouth football from both teams. If HHS comes ready to play and doesn't turn the ball over I believe they win by 14 in a game that is very close for most of the game.
  21. So you dont think HHS will get better as the season goes?
  22. Commandos rushed for 453 yards vs Centennial. Oline had an excellent night!! Station Camp run defense looks pretty solid. Will have to work hard to have a great rushing night Friday.
  23. Wasn't an off night by Centennial. Hendersonville was just the more physical and better team. Centennial offense looked good but they had no answers for the HHS running attack. HHS had 0 punts and were only stopped once by a fumble. I dont think Ravenwood is near as good as people were thinking. They struggled to beat a not very good siegel team. I look for Franklin and Brentwood to be the two best teams in that region
