  1. It would be a shame for Tyler Smith from Moore County to be left off the list. I’m not sure his exact stats as I don’t have that access. But when you put the film on, he definitely shows up and shows out. And off the field he excels even more than he does on the field. He’s also been more than a one year wonder. Take into account the change in Head Coaches and offenses. He also excels on both sides of the ball and you will never hear him complain. He is humble and doesn’t like the attention that top athletes usually get. Good luck to all finalists for this award as I’m sure they will be as equally deserving.
  2. We knew he was hurt. I was a Senior that year. And I also remember a news clipping from the next week saying he got abused. He was a good back. But that fullback was a man child and was only a freshman if I recall right. They also had a lineman that was like 6’8. What ever happened to him?
  3. But I promise you remembered us years later. Jewel Flowers dang sure does.
  4. MC has been to Lake Co before. A lot of nothing up there, but that was long ago.
  5. I’m hoping you are referring to the Moore County teams in the last few years because we’ve been farther than that several years.
  6. And the QB isn’t even the best on the team. Great kid and has had a heck of a year. But you better gameplan for all those receivers that took a 1 yard pass and turned it in to a 60 yard touchdown. The White brothers are tough on both sides of the ball. Pearson is a stud LB that loves contact. And Smith at LB and RB. This kid should be in talks for top in the state. He does all the hard yards and he will never be brought down by one guy. He never has gotten the glory he deserves. New offense and doesn’t get the ball near as much but when he does he will make you pay. So bring on Collinwood or Huntington or whoever.
  7. Dawgs special teams isn’t very good. Lol. Good luck Hornets.
  8. He’s already a starter both ways.
  9. MC doesn’t have any sophomores on defense that I can think of. But we’ve got a Freshman that had I believe 167 yards receiving. He’ll be a stud with help from OL. With some development the OL should be as dominate as it used to be.
  10. Does that mean that MC has some D1 athletes on defense? Lmao. Just busting your chops schoolmate.
  11. #20 gives you a better chance than Johnson from my view.

  13. Put the film in and watch Tyler Smith from Moore County. It speaks for itself. I’m not sure that anyone has brought him down by themselves yet.
  14. No comparison between the two. None. I’ve seen both.
  15. Ok. Thank you for verification. He’s fun to watch as long as it’s not your team he’s playing.
  16. 53 carries is what one site said. So which is it?
  17. Tyler Smith from Moore County has been a dominate force for 2 years at RB. But he has also been a leader on defense for 2 years as starting LB. Ask any team who has faced him and they’ll tell you how tough he is to defend. Stewart from Huntland is also a well deserving candidate.
  18. Im going with Huntland in this one if Reed can get a little more creative on offense. #4 is a beast and should have another big game.
