Lipscomb 2021 - How many guys from LA signed D1 that year compared to Oakland? Creasy out coached Dilfer - watch the 4th quarter of the game.

    * There are many more you could cite BUT ultimately all you have to do is ask any actual high school coach (not some slappy who volunteered here and there for 5 minutes) who has played him and they will tell you how good he is. That is ALL the respect any high school coach could ask for - and Creasy is highly respected by people who actually KNOW football.

Blackman 2017 is the one that comes to mind for me. Oakland had to replace 16-18 starters from the runner-up team and had to beat Blackman with Master Teague at TB. IMO, that was Creasy's best coaching at Oakland

I agree our governor seems to hate public schooling and pushing hard on charter/private schools.

Which is pretty ironic since Lee graduated from a public school and pretty sure his wife taught at one. I'd actually respect him more if he came out and said instead of hiding behind this "school choice" bs

Not just the ability...the intent is for taxpayers to pay for their tuition. Problem (for the public) is, private schools will only accept those they choose to. The tagline is "give the people a choice of where their kids go to school", when it should be "give the privates the ability to enroll students without scholarships", and without playing restrictions. Add NIL money and schools will have the unrestricted ability to assemble super teams handpicked from as large of a radius as they wish.

I've never seen an administration that hates public schools quite like this current governor. I know everyone thinks the TSSAA is the root of all problems, but this is something out of their control

Before social media how old is this website??? Thought it was made like 2006 or something… when I think of before social media I think anything under 1997 give or take.

Well CoachT used to be a part of Rivals so early 2000s. I guess I should really say twitter. If 40+ is old then I'm getting close

Auggie keep running the warm baths for KC. I speak the truth. Name one team that Oakland has beat during the Creasy era that had better talent than Oakland, that KC out coached. And don't go 10-7 on me.

I could cite multiple examples of teams that were just as talented as Oakland but since you have a personal vendetta against a coach that is universally loved across high school football, I'd be talking to a brick wall. Go back to your cave

Hope you're right, it would be good to see some other teams in the mix instead of the same ones year after year.

Outside of following my own team, I enjoy following 5A because the power vacuum shifts every couple of years

I disagree.   Over the past 10 years here are the teams in the 5A title game:

    Beech (1)
    Farragut (1)  * moved to 6A in 2017
    Henry County (1)
    Hillsboro (1)
    Independence (1)
Knox Catholic (1)   * moved to division 2 in 2019
    Knox Central (2)
    Knox West (3)
    Oak Ridge (1)
    Page (3)
    Powell (1)
    Summit (2)

Compared to an average of 47 5A schools each year it's a small handful of teams that ever make it to the finals.     As to Houston in 6A, you are right in that nobody can predict anomalies like that, and the same thing could happen in 5A, but the overwhelming probability is that the 2024 5A title game will be between two of the schools listed above (minus of course Farragut & Catholic)

Then you would be leaving out teams like  Nolensville, Centennial and Southwind. Good probability, but not overwhelming

Have a son that played and graduated Oakland and I've lived a mile from the school and stadium for 25+ years.  Was involved as a volunteer for the past 8 years as their scoreboard and play clock operator you dumbazz.  Everytime you open your mouth you get a little dumber.

What have you done for Bradley?  Nothing.   What are your ties?  None.   Who's jock have you been sniffling all year?  We all know the answer to that.

    Keep talking son

My only regret is that I could only upvote you once

Sounds like we have a consensus that there are maybe 5 or 6 teams who even have a chance in 2024 of reaching the championship game.       The other 40-something are playing to maybe beat their main rival, win their region, break .500, whatever.           Here's hoping that all 47 5A teams have fun with it in 2024.

We aren't even a week into the off-season, trying to narrow it down to half a dozen teams with transfers and coach openings the way they are is like trying to predict the weather. Different class, but nobody had Houston as the 6A champion at this time last year

Neither are RB's ,Boo and Morris will both be DBs in College, along with returners on Special teams. Maybe being coached by the best DB , return guy of all time. Coach Prime

I can see Morris being a slot guy in college,  Swiss army type that moves around the field.  Morris didn't play hardly any DB or field kicks. Given Oakland's ability to turn out DBs at the next level,  Morris would probably have played some if that's where his future was

How many of those were won honestly? No recruiting? No outside help? No politics? No assisted transfers? I sure don’t know…. Or did Oakland play football like a regular ole high school using what they got? Seems Jordan came from Brentwood and morris came from chat.. really the only two players I’ve noticed and both were “transfers” but ya know what…God will be the Judge of all that. Awful fishy..it’ll all withstand the fire in the end. Maybe I’m wrong.

You got proof? Then report it, otherwise....... 38-17

Morris has a MASSIVE offensive line to protect him… he uses them for his openings to get yards which is the right thing to do… however… Boo solos the whole other team… he didn’t really  have a huge line to protect him… hence why he was having to fake out and hit so many people because they were all over him just couldn’t do anything with him. May be a different story for morris if it was him vs 6/7 players at a time like it was for boo… just watch his highlights. He was juking and faking and hitting sometimes 6-8 guys a play.. dragging 2 at a time across the inzone. Morris has the line that gets him openings…. Boo makes his own openings by moving…huge difference and that’s not me being favoritism I’m just saying I’ve watched both of them all year…. Boo is a different animal than morris with WAY less carrying than morris and almost the same yardage .… but morris has another year so we will see..

Hate to break it to ya but football is a team game. Morris had over 500 yards receiving so yeah your favoritism is showing, Boo got the ball in the open field more than Morris. They are both great players,  they just have different ways of getting their big plays

Hey just remember when you see boo on TV next few years breaking records as he did in Josh school… … they’re gonna be saying Bradley central on TV not Oakland. Hehe enjoy

Just remember when Jordan James gets drafted after a successful career at Oregon they'll be saying Oakland not Bradley Central

Non sense.  BA had 3 linemen that will go play D1 ball.  Do you want 10 that will play D1?  At some point you must actually coach and develop an average HS kid into a good player.  The line struggles were 100 percent coaching struggles not players.  Sure better players help but darn at some how about we actually coach and develop.

THIS. BA wasn't lacking for talent

I f that happens here, the players better choose wisely. If they transfer and it doesn't work out or is not a good fit, then they are in a bind.

It's for this reason I'm actually for this. Players shouldn't be allowed to just transfer all over the map without a valid reason

The thing that truly impressed me was Boo's vision... the ability to find the openings that let him exploit his speed.

And yes, the next level will be a great test for both.

Agreed. I think he'll have a good career as a returner at UT.
