dominated? they won district 7-aaa in the regular season but they lost in the district finals.finished with at least 2-3 losses in the district.
i think the key for riverdale doing well is more intangible than black and white. no doubt they have the players to fill the void that watson and alexander left|(or at least to a degree|) but the real question is this: van they replace the leadership of watson and alexander, if they can do that, look for riverdale to make another strong run

Oakland and White win with ease tonight, and cookeville hangs on for a 3 point win over warren county. any final scores from 8-aaa?

Could not agree more. This guy thinks he knows it all, and always so quick to get on here and comment in some negative way. Hey Oakland... in case you can't tell I THINK YOU WILL FIND VERY FEW PEOPLE WELCOMING YOU WITH OPEN ARMS! Why don't you stick to commenting strictly on Oakland, maybe someone there will appreciate your opinionated comments.
never once implied that utterback didnt belong on the team. Just was merely reporting facts. frankly, i really dont care if nobody welcomes me with open arms, i dont post on coacht to get friends not as opinionated as you lead me on to be, but anyways back to the topic at hand.
watch out for tyler bowman for Oakland, has potential to be a nice #4 Starter/reliever for the Pats

and i never intended to try to fool anyone. could have come up with a different name if i was trying to do that. i erased my other id's because i wanted to start over
now to the game, the player from white co that worries me is jj taylor, he has struggled both times against Oakland and is due for a big game. if white co can keep this a halfcourt game, i think its close but, if oakland gets to go up tempo i think Oakland could win by double digits, still a close game either way

at the coaches meeting, a coin was flipped since both teams had district records of 1-13. blackman won the toss and thus gets to play white co(not much of a prize for winning the coin toss if you ask me)

jury's out on utterback. he left the team and came back on it this year, so he will sit out the first 10 games of the season

I've coached both high school and college girls basketball and I have to agree with five. If Riddle is putting up these type of stats on a well balanced team she is definitely worth a look. When recruiting, I had no problem finding 6 foot athletic girls who could play, what I couldn't find was the 6'5" girl who wasn't overweight, so slow she could only play one end of the court, or such a bad student that she wasn't eligible half of the time. You give me a freshman of Riddle's skill for three months and I'll get her up and down the floor, make her strong enough to compete, and teach her the system, then I would bring her off the bench for 2 minutes at a time to rest my starter. What I cannot do is make her taller or make her smarter. The bottom line is, when I have her on the floor the other team has to contend with a player that has a presence that is 8' high by 3'wide. I don't care how high your 6'2" atheltic girl can jump, one shot fake that gets her off her feet and she becomes 6'2" when she lands back on the floor. As for the SEC, I hope they continue to overlook players like Riddle, it gives my old school a chance at a good player that will become great.
excellent post. you dont have many true post players that are well-rounded anymore. sarah hasnt even come close to hitting her potential with the injuries she sustained her sophmore and junior seasons holding her back. she averaging around 16 points a game the last 8 games, on a team like girlbball said, is very stout at all positions

dont look for the first 3 to be anything worth going to. however, if siegel can regain the form that they had in midseason, this could be a great one. just cant stand having a anti-drama district tourney so ill stick siegel in that game
-
just a little something to keep in mind: while oakland only won at cookeville by 6 and white co by 1, they did beat cookeville at oakland by 18 and white co at oakland by 26. not saying that will happen again, but you just never know.
ive been waiting for this day for quite a while, the start of district tournament, the start of the 2nd season, this is where the real teams come to play. good luck to all teams today, well except for lebanon

i dont have a plus, but i plan on having one pretty soon. i bet you siegel folks would like to see us get beat, make things a lot eqasier for you guys and riverdale. If Adareus Dixon keeps on playing like he has the last 3 games|(44 points|) it will ber very hard for white co to upset oakland

at this point, its all hearsay but if your looking at who both teams return, you have to say that Oakland is in a better position at this point than riverdale is. Riverdale lost what many people considered the heart and soul of their team in Catcher Alex Watson and 3rd Baseman Clint Alexander, both of whom gave Riverdale a big power threat. However, Riverdale is now an established power and just reloads rather than rebuilds. Will Underland will be a very bright spot for them

have seen some of the stuff you write on college basketball, its good stuff, will be looking forward to your write-ups. if you need the stats from those games, just see me when you come down to the boro this week and ill make sure i get those to ya thumb

no doubt Oakland will be a good team. what will seperate them from a good team to a state title contender is if they can get get some depth at pitching. with the way the state tournament is set up, a deep pitching staff is the key if your going to advance deep into the tournament

I was wondering, how are all the teams in the region health wise.... any injury updates? First round 8AAA predictions
1. Lawrence Co over Coffee Co by 2
2. Lincoln Co. over Tullahoma by 15
3. In a wild hard fought game....Shelbyville does get a win over Franklin Co. by 6 What is 7AAA looking like?
dont look for district 7-aaa to provide much drama in the 1st round|:
Oakland over Lebanon by 25
White Co over Blackman by 22
Cookeville over Warren Co by 18
Riverdale over Siegel by 7

believe it or not 90warrior, i have a life outside of coacht. been needing to catch up on my studies a little bit. like someone else stated, people dont realize how good HL is. but this isnt about HL. regardless. i see Oakland winning this game, although it will be tougher to win this one than most people think
Players to shine in 7AAA

could be right, but have heard good things about bowman's progress throughout the offseason. the beauty of league play in district 7-aaa is that as long you have a good #1 and #2 starters with a solid bullpen, you should be just fine. heres hoping bowman has a breakout year, he has certained earned it having waited for his chance to shine
