Chuckey Doak- Kingston was pretty good, but you could just mark it up as 2 bad teams that dont like playing defense. Then the refs had to make sure their presence was felt, but it was entertaining at least. But when you’re playing for the honor of getting obliterated by Alcoa in round 2 I guess it doesn’t matter

Well, Palazzo is hurt which led to Bradley who I’m pretty sure doesn’t even play at all starting at QB, and it went exactly how that sounds like it would. CD’s defense did all they could to help but putting up 20 yards of offense in the 2nd half is a guaranteed loss. Congrats to Kingston and good luck against AE.

Went to Chuckey Doak and will always pull for my Black Knights but with the way they played West Greene I don’t see a win. Plus Palazzo got hurt late in the 4th and didn’t come back in, and pretty sure we don’t even have a backup qb, They just run the Wildcat when Palazzo is out. Have to wait and see if he plays. Gonna be a cold and maybe wet one, high of 40 on Friday so probably 35 at kickoff and dropping as the game goes. Proud of the Knights winning the region championship regardless of the outcome, they never had much of a chance at winning it when they were in the same conference as Greeneville or Elizabethon lol.

Thanks guy, here’s some stats from the game Kody Lewis had 144 yards, 3tds on 22 carries Brock Thompson threw 2tds for UC Matthew Palazzo was 24-33, 405 yards, and 4tds. Came on in the clutch throwing 3tds in the final 6 minutes. Hayden Rush had 13 receptions for 241 yards and 2tds.

That was a wild game, CD dominates early going up 18-7 (missed all 3 PAT’s) and we’re driving for more with 2 minutes left in 2nd quarter when they were stuffed on 4th&1, Unicoi score on final play of half and it’s 18-14 at the half. Unicoi scores on first possession of 2nd half and takes the lead, in the 4th quarter UC scored to go up 28-18, CD scored to make it 28-26 but Lewis took it 50 yards to the house on the next play, CD would score again on a beautiful throw and catch on 4th&18 to cut the lead to 34-32 but the conversion was no good. CD stuffed Lewis on a 4th&4 run from the UC 39 with 1:45 left and marched downfield and scored on a tipped near interception with 17 seconds left. Final score Chuckey-Doak 38, Unicoi County 34

Rebels win 38-33, fun game all around. I’m sure there will be huge rushing numbers by both teams. South Greene will have to tighten up on defense if they want to make another playoff run. Hopefully the Knights found something offensively going forward since Unicoi visits next week and will likely drop 50 points like they always do against us. Just a good night of football. At least the Vols can’t lose this weekend

CD returned opening kick to 20 yard line then scored 3 plays later 7-0 Knights. It is lightning pretty good behind the SG sideline. Don’t know the TSSAA lightning rules but I’ve been to races that have been stopped for way less lol

I just graduated from CD 4 years ago, I don’t think it was ever really a hate filled rivalry. But that’s just my outside perspective, they could have had a south Greene voodoo doll in the locker room for all I know. I think the one team they just really really did not like was West Greene, pretty sure I heard a guy say he didn’t care if they went 1-9 as long as the 1 win was vs West Greene lol. Overall I think the local kids do a good job of realizing this is for fun while also wanting to win

If South Greene has any receiver with decent speed that can run a crossing route SG Qb will throw for 400 yards and 5tds. Which one of the Myers kids is the QB? I know they’re a hard pair to handle. South Greene on paper should win handily but it is a rivalry game so you never know, they’ve got some impressive wins

Hopefully both sides will have the place rocking Friday night, should be a fun game. CD coming off a blowout win over NG and both teams have travelled to Sullivan North and won in blowouts in the past 2 weeks. Haven’t watched South Greene this year but just based off of scores and stats from the paper they look impressive. Final score wise this hasn’t been a very close rivalry many times lately with the last 4 games being split with both teams winning by 14+ points in home games. Hoping for a safe competitive game. I got the Knights winning 27-24

CD wins it 53-18. Second half was your usual blowout high school game, CD put up 1 more td with the starters and got another defensive td, NG scored on a hook and latter play to make the final score. Hard to gauge team progress against a team like NG but CD looked ok, have to tighten some things up. Big cross county matchup next week at the Black hole against the undefeated South Greene Rebels, should be a good one.
