  1. No disrespect workinprogress. And MJGOLDENBEARS you make a very valid point. Maintaing a level of interaction with the younger groups is imperative for a high school football program. That leads us to another entirely different subject though. One of the middle school programs is coached by previous LHS football staff. From what I "HEARD" only, there is still animosity toward LHS for letting the coach go. But that is based on speculation. Overall, there is really no excuse for Lebanon not to be a competive program. Whom ever mentioned it earlier, it will be years before LHS is competing again. There again, no disrespect taken or attempted back toward workinprogress. Good luck to everyone tonight and be safe.
  2. The running back for H20 is quite impressive. He runs hard and with a meaning. I will have to agree with both previous entries about weapons. H20 does revolve around the RB, and they seem to have a few more athletes. When people say "weapons" they normaly refer to skill players. Lets not over look line play. Which H20 may have an advantge.
  3. How? No support from the top administrator a.k.a. "Principal." You don't have an administrator that will hire teachers who can also coach, you have a problem. At Lebanon right now, Harp doesn't even have enough position coaches. Is that not a problem? If someone can argue this, just look at your good programs. Count the coaches and see how many are on staff, in and out of school. This is not the only problem Lebanon is facing, but it would be one heck of a start in getting Lebanon back on track. Better yet, go around to a handfull of head coaches, who have sucessful programs in Lebanon's area and ask if they would be statisfied with a six man staff.
  4. Oldfatcat, your probably right. I have no ties to Lebanon what so ever. Its a shame that Coach Harp is handcuffed like he is. He is the right man for the job at Lebanon.
  5. As far as the game goes, Gallatin should win by at least three scores. As for Lebanon's future, I will have to say that the new coach is electing to play young players. This hard knock season for the young players should produce a better future for them. The problem lies with the coach not being able to get coaches on staff. It all starts at the top. Lebanon's, high and mighty administrator is not worried about sports. Until she is gone, Lebanon's coach is just fighting an uphill battle. I counted up to 12 assistant coaches on Cookeville's coaching staff last week. I believe Lebanon has 6. Unless something has changed, a head coach must have assistant coaches. Just throwing my opinion out there.
  6. I have seen both teams play. Should be a good game. G'ville has some good athletes, but Watertown seems to be more physical, but may be prone to young mistakes. Who controls the game with the least mental mistakes wins.
  7. Heard a few weeks ago that Gordonsville is banged up in some key areas. Any word on how healthy they are going in to this weeks game with H20?
  8. Very well put Time2Play. This game is huge for both these programs. A lot on the line. Both teams should be fired up for this game. Should be a shootout.
  9. Trying to get a prospective on the injury theme. Keep hearing about injuries for RBS against Watertown and Cannon which kept RBS from just rolling over these two teams. Are these players D-I prospects? Just wondering.
