It was like watching a different meigs team from yesterday to today. GCA defense had a lot to do with that.

they got really good minutes out of Johnny yesterday. If they have some players progress then I expect them to eventually get over the hump and play for a region title.

Just out of curiosity could you give a scoring breakdown for meigs?

I think the 6 man rotation and back to back days playing caught up to harriman in the 2nd half. I wouldn't want to be playing meigs right now though as they looked really good.

Pride what was your take on the GCA/Coalfield game? My early take away from meigs/harriman is that meigs travels really well.

Tough loss for Coalfield. Grace dominated the 4th and finally started making some shots. Coalfield got really good minutes out of 3 freshman ( including Parker) and an 8th grader tonight. The future looks good for coalfield just have to figure out how to win in the region semis.

Coalfield takes a chance and plays majority of 2nd qtr with best two players on the floor with 2 fouls and neither pick up #3. Should be an exciting 2nd half.

Is the girls championship before or after the boys semis today?

Well coalfield is the lone team left out of 4A. Bet the bleachers definitely get pulled out with harriman pulling the upset over Oakdale. Still taking grace and meigs tomorrow but think Harriman has a better chance at pulling an upset.

Oh I wasn't saying that it was one sided. Just knew there had to be a lot of fouls called and bad/tight officiating. I figured Meigs had picked up the defensive intensity when they started trimming the lead. I will be a meigs fan tomorrow when they play OS.

I heard Meigs shot something like 49 FTs. Even with bad officiating some fouls had to be happening. I was pulling for oneida because they are in our district and hated to see the collapse. They should be good again next year though.

Hired an OC but no head coach? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

Coalfield survives today. If Tellico would've made layups they probably would be playing tomorrow. Coalfiled got killed on the boards tonight. GVA might have a cake walk tomorrow if coalfield brings the same effort.

Was disappointed to see Coalfield Tellico cancelled. I can't figure out why they didn't play yesterday or earlier today.

From the looks of scores I believe meigs is playing better than anyone in the region right now. Looking forward to Coalfield/Tellico tomorrow.

Also McKinney did not play in any of the losses to district 3A teams. That makes a big difference. In saying that, I still think Meigs and Grace are the top 2 teams in the region.
