Yeah that definitely didn’t help us.  Offesnse/defense wasn’t the same without her.  She is the leader of the team and they feed off of her.  We got some terrible calls the last quarter and Oakland made all the big shots.  As far as the boards go, Cookeville out rebounded Oakland by double digits.  It just seemed that way with the way the game ended.

I guess I should have clarified the last half of the game Oakland had rebounds 11 to 2 rebounds for Cookeville or that's what the stats had listed.  As far as calls go Oakland had some garbage calls early on as well.... Hated to see Cookeville outed, but thats how it goes somebody was gona go home that night

I’m surprised by this outcome. I’m guessing the Cavs didn’t play their best in this one.

It didn't help that they lost one of their best players  early in the game to re-aggravating what looked like a previous injury. That said they played a good game , but Oakland played a whale of a game defensively and won the battle on the boards. That was truly the difference.

IDK if those in this thread followed last year. My alma mater (Indy)  won the district tournament last season and immediately went to play Hillsboro for a regional champ to determine seeding for state tourney. 4 teams from each district did not advance.

And honestly, could care less about how it's been done in the past. Reward the totality of the regular season or reward teams for how they play in a 4 day tournament??

They did get rewarded.... They got the chance to play another game , they had another opportunity... Prime example here in RuCo girls games last night.  Cookeville was like 26-4 on 10-0  and number 4 in the state on the season and lost to 18-11  or 7-1 Oakland and will be setting at home as did Lebanon 24-9 lose to 18-8 Blackman. You play that well in the season you get a chance to play for a championship. You gotta bring your best every game, or you get to go home and watch on tv.... Not everyone is gonna get a capri-sun ana trophy. Don't mean that in a sarcastic tone, I am reminded there are a lot of great player who never get the chance, just like life. Being good is only part of the formula for success.. so is being prepared and being lucky.

  4. I would not be surprised to see some transfers that will add to the Blue Raider depth. That second year there will be a familiarity with the offense and I think you will see the packages open up a little bit , I look for a solid year and hope to see them in the mix of things down the stretch

People see a game from Oakland in the playoffs and they think they can't pass but anyone that saw them when Freeman was the sole starter at QB knows that's not the case. He's going to put up some big numbers when he's a senior

There were a few iffy class against CG, but they straight up whipped us. Game could have been at Oakland and UT wouldn't have made much difference.  CG has been a top 30-40 team in the country all year and it showed.

If you want to see an TN team getting screwed over in a out of state game ask @Blaze45 about the time Blackman traveled to Bowling Green

Brentwood was one of the best teams in Middle TN this year and Houston just beat them 28-0. :bored:

No disrespect but Williamson County was not nearly as competitive as they have been in years past. Houston is better than some folks think/ give them credit for but Bretwood was not the world beaters some thought either.

    1.  I would be shocked if MTSU would even consider a high school coach

    2.  If I am not mistaken his retirement would be the same plan as he currently has

    3.  If by chance he were offered the job, there are 1 million reason to accept the job

If he did take it at a million, he would be in the same shape Stockstill was in. POOR facilities, and poor fan support. It would be short lived for anyone until they step up and do something about their facilities. No recruit wants to go to a place where it is crap even with a great coach.

The way Oakland looked on defense last Friday Night stopping Boo Carter like they did MTSU would be making a grave mistake if they didn't offer Creasy that job and pay him what he needed to come on board.

I don't think he would take it. He has what I believe is 2 more years to have his tenure in order to draw retirement from Tennessee Teachers assoc, and that would also allow him to coach his son's senior season. At that point I could see a bidding war in the private schools for him. He would maintain his retirement and benefits, plus get paid a ton to do nothing but coach.

Made the hour drive to watch this game. Was really impressed with both teams, but as one poster said above, that massive Oakland OL was the difference. Oakland’s speed on defense is really impressive. The size of their OL and the speed on defense really stuck out to me.

After the game I tuned into the Houston Brentwood game... Houston is gonna be a monster.. they are fast fast  and big as well... should be a great match up.

Oakland beat Blackman in the 8th grade game! Maybe I got bad information, I stand corrected.

heard he was a douche nonetheless

Same Coach is still there... a lot of people didn't don't like him because he is not running his programs the same way every other program in the state does. Don't like the go for it on 4th and onside kicks....Can't argue with stats and numbers/odds...  He did get rid of nearly all the staff at the high school level, which some folks didn't like. They hired some back this year.... He's not do it the way everyon else does it kinda coach... I have had the opportunity to get to know him a little better than some folks and he is a pretty good dude.

Nobody is talking trash. You’re delusional and making up stuff. Also be honest how old are you? Also Oakland parents were chanting student section chants. Cringe

I will say this Bearettesalltheway...after beating Bearden said something to the effect of BC and some team from  "memphos book it .... "

Bradley Central is a great story. The Bears have had a great season. No true BC fan is over-confident or cocky. Oakland is a proven Champion and BC fans, Coaches and our team has the utmost respect for the Patriots. We are proud of our guys and pulling for #12 to be healthy to give our team the best opportunity to win. The Bears will play hard and I believe it will be a very competitive game. I agree with another poster who mentioned some of the others guys…(the non- DI talents) those guys (both teams) work extremely hard and don’t get any press, but both Coaching staffs and fan bases realize the great value they provide to their respective teams. Much respect for the jobs these 2 teams and Coaches have done to make this game a reality.. this conversation (BC vs. Oakland) has been ongoing since the first poll came out in week 1.

Classy post , classy fan... way to represent the Bears,,, you guys have a great team and a heckuva season... congrats

There is only one ‘Bradley’ fan on these boards that tout about all this D1 talent. This Bradley group has several yes, but they communicate and play as a unit so well that’s why they win. A perfect example of discipline and coaching is their front 3 on the defensive line, none of them have a single offer anywhere at any level but get their job done every week. Every team, every week has tried to pick them apart and wear them down, doesn’t go well.

it’s going to be a great game from both teams. Both are loaded with talented and physical athletes. It’s the matchup everyone has wanted to see happen and with that the stadium should be packed on both sides.

I completely agree. Bradley has a great team and said that from the get go. I also believe both teams understand and respect the other teams talent and I know it is one person who thinks one team is so much more dominant than the other, By now both of these teams have played and beaten quality teams and competed at a high level. They are both well oiled . well prepared teams who will enterinto a slobber knockin snot finging  battle and on that day one team will be better than the other, It truly could go either way on any day.

Welp, nothing changes for me.  BC has a very talented team with several D1 players.  Something BC is not used to having it seems.  Over the years during the Creasy era at Oakland and seeing every home game for the last 8 years up until this year, I have seen tons of these athlethes.  Both on Oakland and the other RuCo teams.  Last year Blackman had 3-4, Riverdale had a few this year and Oakland has had more than their share of them.  I've watched Jacoby Stevens that went on to play and win a national championship with LSU and make it to the pros.  Jordan James who is having a very good season at Oregon.  Trey Knox that played at Arkansas and transferred to another big school.  Can't remember which.  Master Teague that played at Ohio State and countless others I can't recall right now that have played for Power 5 schools.  Point is that this Oakland team is used to having and playing against these guys.  They are experienced.  They have been there before and knows what it takes.  Trust me that the moment will not be too big for them when they face BC and their talented D1 guys.  Should be a good game but I have to stick with the experience and our own D1 guys which Oakland has many now.  Looking for a good game with Oakland coming out on top and a chance to make it four 6A titles in a row.  Never been done.

Trey Knox was at Arkansas as a WR and transferred to South Carolina as a TE. They Also had Adonis Otey went to USC and while he did not go on to play college  Conor Mitchell was the QB and touted as one of the fastest kids on the 440 relay team that won state that year and had a pretty decent arm. I agree Oakland has played a number of teams that have more "D-1 Talent" year in and year out and find ways to win. You just can't make up for great coaching. This should be a good game,

I will admit I was surprised that Oakland Patriots mercy ruled Riverdale Warriors. I thought Oakland Patriots would win. I did not think Riverdale Warriors would get mercy ruled. I thought they were too good to let it happen. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

CG,  you were not wrong, Riverdale was too good to get walloped like that. I Oaklands level of play was way better in the .second game, however Riverdale shot themselves in the foot almost every offensive series. I do expect BC to give Oakland a heckuva game and not see near the mental mistakes Riverdale had. i am not CG but I approve you reading this message

Riverdale Warriors will not mercy rule Oakland Patriots in this game. Just because Riverdale Warriors won the first game does not mean they will even win the second game much less mercy rule Oakland Patriots.  I do not care what he said. This will be a great game where neither team mercy rules the other team. It will not happen this game. I guarantee it. Watch and see. I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

CG... you might wanna rethink how right you were....lol... hope you are well... happy thanksgiving to you and yours

I agree… Oakland Is going to murk us. Now if Kaleb Martin gets back in which I just heard he’s playing… he took a helmet to the knee cap and was mostly angry… then Oakland has a game on their hands. It all depends on what the injury status is. Oakland better play Oakland ball.. this is the first time they travel in quiet awhile and bears stadium is not a stadium you want to travel 3 hours to.

Oakland has traveled to at least 1 out of state game(usually to a nationally ranked opponent place) every year for the last few years. If you have NFHS.. watch the Oakland Riverdale rematch. I don't like Oakland at all .. but they played their best football tonight. Its 131 miles up the road They will be well rested and ready to play.... BTW that 56-0 was with Oaklands freshmen team playing the 4th qtr.
