PHS if and only if they can get past U.C. and I am sorry but I think NCS is a joke they recruit the best from everywhere and cant beat public schools.Those of you that are not privy to NCS will say they dont recruit,however look it up .Sorry to rant but they nedd to find another place to play maybe call it the rich n priveleged league !!!

Congrats Tide on the Gold, dang good team and 7 was a difference maker. Great year Marion Co,the Ztrain was a hoss,hated to see him have to played hurting as he was, He's deffineately a WINNER.

When you have uncommon opponents its hard to really judge the level comparitavely.In hindsite I as a Peabody fan knew the level of competion we faced example U.C. 1a champ milan 3a semifinalist huntingdon dresden TCA Aville McKenzie.MC played a schedule of teams thru their quest ranked approx 200 in state rankings,I am not taking away from them I just wanna compare apples to apples! The east is usually very strong,with the dominance MC showed all year vs the fact that PHS was heads and shoulder talent and skill levels above MC is why I ask is this a power shift in TN football or just a off year for the East!?If I offend I apologize however you can throw all the variables and what if this and that you want at the game we witnessed yesterday and simply put.The results could of been worse without a dropped TD by PHS and a coulle of great ankle tackles by MC.We PHS fans are a humble honest bunch and will tell you the quater and semifinal teams we faced would have routed MC as we did those were skin of the teeth one bounce one play difference ball games!

you can rely on weight training way too much, that seems to be big slow teams problems thru the years. you gotta mix it with chasing chickens. Speed wins!!

You two cool it or you can both go to to timeout. Now, TTP did say Marion would have a hard time winning. I never made a prediction because I wasn't sure they could win either. Peabody was head and shoulders the better team today and any other day. Marion had a good, solid season. Congrats to them.

I watched some of the middle school games. We have a group of 7th graders that seem to be a lot like the juniors this year when it comes to speed and athleticism including a lefty QB that can fly. In fact I think a coach told me about 10 started throughout the year. Then from what I hear the group of 6th grade linemen are all between 180 and 200 and can move well for their size. Be ye warned single A.

Marion's biggest problem was that their offense was too one dimensional. The old school wingt ball control offense don't work well when the other team has a fast athletic defense that can fly to the ball. And the opposing offense has enough speed to put points on the board. We shutdown MC's offense early and their D couldn't handle our speed on offense. Once we got up by a few scores we went conservative and just held our lead till the end. Against a fast strong D like our's that offense takes to +1long to score. Once they had to start trying to pass we had them. You have to respect that they continued to fight till the end.

I garuntee you they have played that card all year. It is plum worn out and I ain't joking.

Conditioning is super key, I hate to say it but MC didnt looked well prepared for PHS!!!! I feel your coaches underestimated the speed, I was extremely impressed with the class of all the young men on the field today!!Comments were made of our Defense,simply put I think very few in the east realized the quality of teams PHS beat to get to this game!

With 19 sr's and the line all being sr's they won't be quite as good ! They do return the offensive MVP he's a soph !

With all due respect will the east be stronger next year I am very used to us sending a 2a team and you guys whoop up on them like last 2 years with Aville.I really gotta say TCA Aville huntingdon could have beat MC ,again no disrespect I just see the west stacked in 2a and for sure 1a next year ,remember PHS is 1a !I have to ask cause there is a ton of knowlege on these threads,do you see gold goi g east for a while????
