I will say for PHS sake I am glad the game is at Tn Tech the artificial turf isnt effected by the rain as much!Might be rainy but at least I wont have to sit thru ice pellets mixed with rain and freezing wind gusts,watched UC last year man was that miserable weather!!!Roll Tide Roll

That is exactly why both teams are in this game. The never quit improving all year, always getting better. As Ken Colquette told us one year on a chalk board, he drawed a graph, he said the team that continues the steady climb up, getting better, and never flat lines or regresses, are the teams left standing at the end. So here we are......

We have a on point pass game most of the time ,however we had four or five screen passes thrown at the feet of #5 against Aville,sure hope we as a team can eliminate the small mistakes I dont think MC is the type of team we wanna get far behind too.The truth is watch our game vs Mckenzie if you want a true gage of our first off the season ability to the playoffs huge difference folks!!!

Difference in this game may be Peaboyy's ability to throw the ball and the elusiveness of the QB. Marion Co is very good at stopping the run but may be prone to give up a big play. If Marion Co can churn out 1st downs and keep the ball,they have a shot,if not ,it could get ugly. 2a, 3a and 5a will be fun games, not so sure about the other three. I see potential for some mismatches.

I would venture to say that it will be a little harder to tackle a 5'9 225lb running back than it is a 6'5 215 one. That's not taking anything from him, but it's a whole lot lower center of gravity. You know we are in the methlab capital of the world right? That was funny, but our neighbors in Grundy county would get that nickname over us, by the way, why do you think we play with such energy.........lol

I agree that low center of gravity will be a load to get to the turf.How do you see the final score me I feel sure it will be no more than a 7 point spread! I believe this simply put because I have not seen any thing remotely looking like the abilty to say or spell the word quit from our teams!

Exotic schemes? These exotic schemes sound like they could go with Murphy's pole that Roy talks about.

Marion has showed some exotic blitzes this season.

I agree on the blitz schemes .I have said in several posts MC plays a very hard defensive scheme for highschoolers,and the football IQ is super high thru your entire rooster!!! #7 plays safety also and several times went toe to toe with Ross Burchom on the edge.He is a whopping 6'5 and 215 lbs yet we found a a way to stop his run.That being said he lit us up un the pass game , dangit thats a big boy with soft hands and speed!

because they did last time they were in 1a. First championship was in 1922, last was 2013.And lots of championships in between. I don't see that trend ending any time soon. Being moved from 2a to 1a just makes it easier.

I truely believe to say 1a is easier is a incorrect statement! UC,Dresden,just 2 in the west that are tough programs not to mention Sp and several others in the East "Come On Man"Oh and my PHS Golden Tide goes to 1a next year!!!!!!!

That kick was a lot less pressure than the last second kick against Central last year. He is a lot more ready this year.

PHS had a similar situation we were going for a short field goal to knot it up at 28 got a false start penalty,went for the fourth down conversion and found the endzone!

That is what maks the UC school system special they have a very aggresive approach to scholastics just like sports!

He kicked a big time 40 yarder under extreme pressure Friday. It took real guts on Coach Ross's part to attempt the field goal and not go for it on 4th. Call of the game in my mind.

Wow ric I did not know that sounds super clutch for highschool kicker,at this level it is for sure the little things that make champions!!

I'm a little biased (OK I'm a LOT biased)... but I'll put our kicker up against yours any day.

Our kicker is how we were able to contain #17 on returns watch that kid wow 6 ft 5 215 and fast! also our kid has a leg capable of a fifty yarder!!! MCs kicker looks super solid too!

We are not a passing team, if we have to throw more than likely we will lose. We have some other backs that we use but Zeman is our bell cow so if you stop him you will win. That being said he is the horse That we rode to the ball and no one has stopped him for four qtrs yet so good luck with that. Our margin for error is small in this game. We all know that our defense will be stretched and stressed in this game because we haven't seen the type of athletes that you guys will throw at us.

I dont believe he can be Stopped maybe contained enough hopefully!
