Hope y'all come over to Winchester tomorrow and enjoy some high school football! i think you will enjoy our updated facilities! FC has had some growing pains over the years and alot of the same problems creep into every program when changes are made! McCurry has had some defections as well when the discipline was installed into the program, i dont know your coaching staff but i try to never bash coaches who give an incredible amount of time to my kids and the program and often neglect their family! it was a great game all around, FC also lost an important part of their offense in 1st quarter when Braston was injured! They had alot of packages designed for him to take pressure off of Johnson! Yarlett and Johnson showed out! Tullahoma has a very good offense even without Burks, the Corn kid was very impressive running the ball in 2nd half!

Dont know much about LaVergne this year, what is everyone's thoughts on this matchup?

looks like it is down to MM or Booger's man! Cant see FC stepping up but with new administration.....who knows?

i am sure the 2 you have heard and i have heard those 2 also but NOBODY wants to confirm that either are interested in the job?

last i heard that there were 38 resumes sent in but no big names on list, all assistants trying to move up~ i really thought to remove Smith after only 2 seasons that they had someone in place already? very very quiet right now around the program!

i heard the school board is doing a in depth survey to see if their stipends are on par with other schools for assistant coaches, my guess is when they find out they are nowhere close they are going to have to look hard at raising them to get anyone to commit to this job!

i would dare many teams in this area to go play South Pittsburg 1A school and consider it a free win!

Kermit was O coordinator for FC for a few years before he took over same position at Huntland where he is now. He will make a great head coach for a team someday!

My sources at Sak n Pak tell me that Kermit Reed is coming back and taking over head coach this time.

So......that all being said they will quite obviously still have to have a coach. With Scott being let go on such a short leash that lends me to believe someone is in line already to take over. This is a new principal and new director of schools who are both from the outside! Do they bite the bullet and do whatever it takes to land one of the 2 local favorites? McCurry or Carson is what the locals have been screaming for so have they talked one of these guys into taking their turn to try and turn it around?

Who is out there to take over head coach for this struggling program?

We have definately been bitten by the injury bug. A lot of young players will be seeing playing time in this game. I am going with 28-17 FC

Should be an interesting game this week! Both teams took it on the chin and this is traditionally a hard hitting rivalry that comes down to the wire! Who is everyone taking in this one?

Carr may not have had the wins needed to keep the community completely on his side but the BIG 3 had him coaching with one hand behind his back, kids not allowed to work out during school hours as our competitors were, highly qualified former Rebels who were pro athletes not allowed to help on the field, coaches not allowed to talk to middle school players, not allowed to bring in staff as he wished and so on and so on. The bottom line is that the administration in place now does NOT feel athletics help students they feel it hinders test scores so they will not FULLY support the coaches and players to compete! Carr was a local guy who loved the school and the kids, I hope the new staff can achieve what everyone wants but something will have to be done with others in charge to get it done!
