  1. Lenoir City controls the ball well and slows the game down. Soddy was able somehow able, maybe turnovers and miscues from Catholic, to keep pace with Catholic who I believe was without one of their key players.
  2. Wasn't talking about any one penalty - just in general. They play at Walker Valley - should be interesting - referees tend to call anything that resembles a penalty.
  3. Catholic is a good team but they have issues with penalties.
  4. Huh? What do you mean the starting QB is playing over at Meigs County? The starting QB played Friday night.
  5. Some of the comments were directed at the players. The game was tough. Bradley is a very good defensive team. It was a struggle to find something that worked consistently against them. No need to complain and yell if the reason that you are not having success is because the other team is just that good.
  6. Rhea did actually play well against Bradley. Really not sure how this game will go. It could be a long night for Rhea or it could be a very close game. Rhea County, when they are playing consistent on the offensive side of the ball, can dictate flow of the game. That is what they need to do. On the other topic, there are few of the fans that need to remember these are high school players. Someone really needed to call them out. It works better when it is other fans and not the coach but what was said needed to be said. They were very annoying during the game. The stands are really close to the field at Bradley so no doubt the players and coaches heard the nonsense.
  7. From the last two games and looking at the Soddy / Catholic game, I don't think you can predict anything based on other games or past experiences. I can't believe I am agreeing with PA, but I do think turnovers and penalties will play heavily in the outcome of this game. I know the Eagles have struggled the last two games, but sometimes a team learns more about what works and what doesn't when they are challenged.
  8. No chick-fila unless you detour through Chattanooga but a Zaxby's and Bojangles and almost any other burger place you can think of except Burger King ... lol ..
  9. I know that most are writing Rhea off in terms of being in this game due to all the D1 talent on the other side, but one thing I know about the team is that they will give it their all. They played a more loaded team from Indiana last year and while they lost, they did not back down in that game at all. This game will definitely make them a better team in the long run.
  10. Agree - Baylor is a very disciplined team. You make mistakes on them, you pay for it. And I believe this one is at Baylor so there is that as well.
  11. The cellular service on the home side is excellent - we just don't provide it to the visitors. Lol
  12. To be clear, I don't think the refs for Rhea are actually from Rhea. Rhea typically has as many penalties, sometimes more than the visiting team.
  13. Anyone that complains about Rhea obviously has not played McMinn in Athens.
  14. Oh and the Deli Mart does make burgers and chicken - not that bad, really. But there are good restaurants in Dayton if you are looking for a better selection.
  15. They grill burgers on the home side - not sure about the visitors side. Very light on the condiments though - basic stuff.
  16. And the refs at Rhea are no worse than the refs at McMinn, Cleveland, Walker Valley, etc.
  17. Hoping someone told you this but just in case. The only place close to the stadium is the Deli Mart which is located across the highway. Your best bet is to eat in Dayton when you come through. The high school is 7 miles away from civilization (... at least that is what the Ooletwah folks say ...)
  18. Maybe Soddy is at home. They were an away game last year.
  19. No cu No cupcakes outside of the region
  20. LOL I know that - I was just commenting on the schedule having as many 6A teams as 5A teams.
  21. Oh and glad to see the Bears back on the schedule for Rhea.
  22. It is not that bad - take 60 to Dayton (... there is bridge over the river now ... ), turn left at the light onto 27 - go south for about 20 miles and you are there!
