  1. I agree fs/gr is important, I never down played that. I just believe we need to make it more organized and consistent. It was said we can't afford to hire refs, I don't how we can't afford to ,if we want to legitimize the style to parents and wrestlers.
  2. If we want to advance fs/gr we need to make it more consistent and official. Get rid of kids refing and more organized. IMO we need a fs/gr assn to line up refs who actually know the rules. Also to help these tournaments run smooth. It could also help with keeping down so many scheduling conflicts. Ok, now y'all can beat me up lol.
  3. I didn't mean any disrespect to you teamtn. Just every high school coach I talk to didn't know about it. I even spoke to a Bradley coach this weekend, that found the same day I did. We changed from going ironman to doing this event. I believe if Blackman's coach would've known, we wouldn't have had this conflict.
  4. Why is this not being blown up all over the Wrestling community in tn? I get emails everyday about tournaments, but this was a secret. Thank you to whomever posted this.
  5. Apparently kg it is canceled. I emailed them earlier about a refund. 10 wrestlers is all that signed up, and 3 of those were mine
  6. Yes, I've seen Renshaw a bunch this year and yes Renshaw is a great wrestler. Just lacks some fire that he has had in past.Croley pinned him in 44 secs, Arnold beat Croley
  7. OK gotta throw my 2 cents on this one. At 170 Long is from C.A.K. not Alcoa. 126 Murphy IMO loses to chase again. 152 Renshaw is a 3rd or 4th at best.
  8. Newcoach, I absolutely agree j.d. is a stud, but so are the 4 guys in front of him. I see #1 seed winning bracket and everyone else battling it out.IMO 170 is the hardest bracket this year
  9. Tc56 I was just giving my opinion of what I have recently seen out of all three teams. Greenville is not as strong as they once were in my opinion. Do agree that pigeon forge wins it all,but we will we this weekend.
  10. Having wrestled both Alcoa and Greenville, I don't see Greenville beating Alcoa. I also don't see Greenville beating N.D.
  11. Wrestling god, did I ever mention anything of updated rankings? I merely stated he is not as accurate as in previous years. That in turn opens up a stable of dark horses. As far as satisfying me by updating rankings, I do my own homework and check my research off your, I mean his rankings. I find the time from the many sleepless nights from stress of trying to build a program and running my own business at the same time.I did not mean any disrespect, I just believe with the way this season is shaping up it will be the year for the dark horses
  12. Mr.Sommers, I agree with you on Hamm most years. This year he is off his game, especially in a/as. I agree in most cases with his top 2_in most weight classes. After that they go to pieces. Between having a wrestler ranked in two different weight classes, to having a ranked wrestler barely having a 50% win ratio. I understand with track being screwy this year, that ranking this year is tough. There will be several unknowns pop up at regions, particularly if refs quit deciding matches
  13. The rankings have been kind of joke this year. They have been poorly updated. A lot one the"ranked" wrestlers have been beaten by unranked kids with no updates. So in my opinion there is a whole field of dark horses. Coach's need to do the homework assignment
