The lady Rebels, in my opinion, played their worst game of the year. I told LA Johnson today that I hoped SG just did enough to win and saved it all for Friday... Lol. I did more yelling at the radio than I ever have. Brian Stayton on the radio, made me feel like I was there.

SG defeated Mo West once and defeated Mo East twice. They also lost to both. SGs losses are to very good teams.

Is there somewhere live streaming all of the games? I'm in Greene County and I know our local station is broadcasting SGs game/games, but I would like to hear them all.

Yes M&G it would be nice. I know who you are now since you said #4 was your son in the other post. My grandparents told me to tell you hi a couple weeks ago but I haven't been close enough to tell you.

Thanks Pujo. We will be pulling for your boys next week. This will be this group of Rebels 1st trip to state, but their 26th overall. This group has been there in volleyball several times including to the finals in 2014. I don't expect them to be anymore nervous than any other team. They are a overall young team. They have 3 seniors, but really every one of their 10 players (mostly freshman) can be big any given night. Our sophomore (I think the only one) had a huge game against Hampton in the 3rd quarter of region finals which got the team back into the game and then as our lead diminished in the sectional game against Meigs she stepped up again. You really can't discount any player on that team. D1 does not get a lot of credit, but I'm telling you that four of those teams gave a good run at state. And I'm surprised that Hampton isn't up there with the Rebels this week.

Well put. The Rebels have played a tough schedule. If they are shooting well, then they will be tough to stop. Go Rebels.

Congrats to Hampton and GCA. I was heartbroken for our Rebel Men. They had an amazing season being underdogs from the beginning to most. What they lack in size, they make up for in heart. I was so hoping their hard fought season would come to a first ever trip to state, but it wasnt meant to be. They have earned respect and I am proud to be a Rebel for sure.

When it was announced at half time of the girls game that SG went down by one the Meigs fans cheered. I guess they weren't looking forward to another SG/Meigs matchup.

I am extremely disappointed that I will not be able to see both teams play. This was the same deal Friday. I'm going to the girls game because I know it will be the last game I see of them this year, but I will be able to see the boys at substate. It isn't fair to the fans or to the schools hosting these home games. There was very poor attendance at SGs home game Friday and I expect it to be the same for the girls tomorrow night at home. They also have to split the cheerleaders.

I don't know much about either Meigs or OS, but I expect them both to have a tough game against SG and Hampton. Good luck to D1.

I thought the same with 33 and 40. I wondered if maybe they had prepared for SGs outside game which allowed SG the opportunity to pull down the rebounds. Rebels had a huge advantage in rebounding.

#24 didn't have near the night he typically does. #10 stepped up and I think he had the high score for SG. I have seen them shoot much better. I'm not taking anything away from them, just saying I know they have more to offer. Unfortunately, I will miss the game tomorrow night, but can hopefully catch it on the radio. Good luck to both teams in substate.

....and SG did not shoot the ball well last night. I'm hoping that they make up for it tomorrow night.
