  1. Yup and Huntingdon needs to focus on Hampton as well. I don't think Hampton has even been mentioned. They are a very physical team with two very capable guards and a girl underneath who is well over 6 foot.
  2. Maybe someone from Perry and Summertown should get on here and say why they think they will win. South Greene didn't get any respect the last two years and that was fine. Their game did the talking. People can only talk about what they know. I've only seen South Greene and Hampton and Pickett County against SG last year. So I really have no idea what the other five teams have. I do believe this is South Greene's to lose.
  3. I don't see it coming down to a shot at the buzzer. South Greene is stronger this year and they are playing better than I have ever seen them. Even better than last year. I believe the Lady Rebels will take care of any doubts they are the best team there on Thursday.
  4. South Greene and Pickett County will face off at 6:00 Thursday.
  5. South Greene went to state 11 straight years with Larry Neil Ricker. I'm not sure of the their win/loss record but were undefeated on a couple of those occasions so I would say they accomplished this.
  6. Nevermind. I see now. Tomorrow (Sunday) 2:00.
  7. South Greene will be ready. They run. That's just what they do. If the task requires them to run for three straight days then they will run for three straight days. They are as conditioned as it gets. Someone has to survive for three straight days and if South Greene keeps playing like they have been then they will be hard to stop. Their bench is also much stronger this year than last which allows them to rest some as well. I know that anything can happen, but they look as focused and driven as I have ever seen them.
  8. There's also this link. http://www.greenevillesun.com/sports/a-look-at-the-south-greene-girls-basketball-legacy/article_e4bf12be-0939-5675-aa76-11db59d11d0c.html
  9. It should make for an interesting blind draw. The two teams for the same districts have to be on opposite sides of the bracket... Correct?
  10. How often does that happen?🤔
  11. What a night! Taylor Lamb had 26 pts and I have no idea how many rebounds and Braelyn Wykle had 23 points. Neither one could be stopped. Nine of South Greene's 10 players put points on the board. Williams also scored in double figures. They are playing the best I've seen them all year. These last three games, they have looked determined to finish this. Then to see that Hampton had the upset at Oneida just topped it off. Congratulations to District one! Now go represent the "Weak East" well!
  12. Tough competition prepares you. I'm so happy for you all.
  13. I am thrilled. Way to go District 1!!!
  14. Final: South Greene is heading back to the 'boro. 94-48.
  15. Good job Dogs! End of 3 here. 73-38.
  16. Good job Dogs! End of 3 here. 73-38.
  17. Awesome. Keep us updated. Halftime here. 44-24.
  18. Yes. They are AA next year. I think in the bottom 10 of the smallest schools.
  19. We will find out soon enough. I'm going to say Lady Rebels by 20+.
  20. Thanks. We will know soon enough.
  21. They have played their best basketball the last two games, their shots weren't falling as well against Hampton, I think they shot around 46%, but it didn't matter, they gathered enough rebounds and forced enough turnovers to make up for it. I haven't seen Meigs. Do they have anyone who can match up with Lamb?
