  1. I may agree with you on Carter not being big enough to move up a classification, but I can't agree with you on Seymour. I think there will be no doubt about them moving up to 4A. I also agree with you on Catholic. They should not be in this classification. I am not sure about Fulton's numbers, but I am sure some teams from the region would love to see them go.
  2. I couldn't agree more. If these teams played the competition they were supposed to, they would get it handed to them every week. For example, see what Carter did the first few weeks of the season when they played 4A schools. Does anyone know when they re-classify? Do you think both of these schools will go to 4A?
  3. How can I say that it looked like Seymour shut Carter down? Well, when I looked in the box score it said that Carter only had 5 first downs the entire game. They had like 30 something rushing yards and 160 passing yards, with 97 of those coming on one play. That is why I said it looked like they made some big plays, because other that those three plays I don't see were Carter did anything. I am not trying to take anything away from Carter. You need big plays to win those types of games. I did not see the game, I am just giving my opinion based on the stats and reading articles about the game. I had no preference on the team that won this game. I am an unbiased fan in this case. When, I said that I guess moral victories don't count, I was referring to the fact that Seymour can't consider doing a great job on defense, when they gave up those 3 big plays. I said nothing about playing by the rules. You had to expect both teams to show some emotion, both good and bad, in this game, history tells you that. I wish both teams luck the rest of the season. Again, congrats to Carter on a big win.
  4. Like I said before, I have been wrong in the past. This was just another example. Congrats to Carter for winning the game. I did not see the game but I looked at the box score. Looks like Carter made some big plays on offense. However, other than three plays, it looked like Seymour shut them down. I guess moral victories don't count though. Carter's defense must have played pretty well, but Seymour's offense seems to struggle inside the 10 this year. Anyways, congrats again to Carter on a big win.
  5. Rutledge played Scott Co. in a jamboree before the season started. I think it was only one half of play. It looked like Rutledge played a lot of their subs. They had a lot of players not in uniform, and the McBee kid only played one series at QB.
  6. Just giving my opinion on the game. From what I have seen from both teams, I just do not believe that Carter can play with Seymour this year. I could be wrong. I have been wrong before. I guess we will find out friday.
  7. Seymour wins this game. It will not be close. Seymour has to much talent and speed for Carter to match up. Seymour wins 31 - 7.
  8. Rutledge beat Claiborne 8-1. Does anyone know the Chuckey Doak and Union County score and who pitched for Chuckey Doak?
  9. Rutledge beat Claibone 11-1. Anyone know the Cumberland Gap and Chuckey Doak scores?
  10. Rutledge beat Chuckey Doak 10-5. Rutledge is now 22-4 and 10-1 in district play. They play Claiborne tomm and a doubleheader with Union on Thurs.
  11. Anyone have the scores from last nights game?
  12. Does anyone have the scores and who pitched?
  13. Rutledge beat Chuckey Doak Thursday 9-5.
  14. Rutledge does have a fairly young team but they have performed well thus far. As far as the effect of the new coaches on the team only time will tell. The expectations are high in pioneer country and they do plan to win the district. They do have a key game at Chuckey Doak on THurs. THis will be their 2nd big road test.
  15. I would say that Rutledge is the favorite to win the district. They have won it the last several years and I don't see this year being any different.
  16. Anyone have any scores from this district. I know that Rutledge beat West Greene 20-1 and they have a big game with Seymour tommorrow.
