The coach said the move was to compete with the same schools as other sports.but I honestly we wished we stayed put in 2-3A.but it will bring back some good rivalry games like loudon that I miss.that game should of never been cancelled...best of luck to the tornadoes tomorrow night.no injuries.and a good clean game.

Looks like Kingston won an appeal to leave 2-3A.now will be playing against loudon,sweetwater,mcminn central.brainerd,etc. Not sure why,I believe the main reason was travel,and most of our other sports already play those teams.but I don't know.

Kingston got approved to leave the region with alcoa.nowthey will play with loudon.sweetwater.etc

Gonna be a great game.who has the ball last may just win.

Yeah.im fine with them staying.but it's gotta be old beating everyone in the region by 50.i love winning but dang it's gotta be boring.i think 5a would of been perfect for them.not much travel plus really good 5a teams in east tn..good luck to g-p in the playoffs.i also think our region will sweep the first round.

The jackets blew a chance at having a home playoff game with the loss to Gatlinburg pittman.i think Kingston will win pretty big at chuckey and once again roll into alcoa for the second round for it seems like the last 10 years. I think Kingston wins Friday 35-14.

I honestly think G-P is better than us this year.but the game is home and senior night for us.plus playing for a home playoff game.so hopefully we will come ready to play.

I don't think 4A would be any different than 3A for alcoa.but I'd love to see them play west and Powell matter what region they are In.i think those could be good games.

Alcoa and Kingston has some good games back in the 80s.lots of talent back then.grown man football.i was in kindergarten and remember alcoa beating us 22-15. The next week blowing out brentwood academy I think for the state championship.

Thanks for the positive comments turtle.i think our region typically year in and year out could hang with any other 3A team in the state.alcoa pushes us all to be better and play hard.i think Kingston may hang around until halftime maybe.we can't have any mistakes at all.we need to try to keep the chains going and milk the clock down.im hoping the tornadoes start out slow coming off a bye.its going to be a tall task.alcoa fans also it's homecoming for Kingston do things may be a little delayed.i dunno why we scheduled alcoa for homecoming either lol

I love old school stadiums.fresh cut grass.everyone in town will be at the game.i would tell y'all to stop at the handee burger to eat but they close at 3pm.
