  1. Refused to run with the second team defense, because he wanted to play scout team QB. Took his helmet off and left the field. Suddenly, he was getting reps in a tight game at WR against McMinn. Would guarantee that he doesn't get many (if any) reps on defense going forward. Team discipline is divided by what side of the ball a kid is on at the time. Offense is where you can play, but not be held accountable for your actions.
  2. Why am I posting it here? Pretty simple. Punishment under this staff becomes more likely to happen when the actions deserving punishment are brought to light. As I'm sure you know, a player walked off the field a couple weeks ago & his playing time INCREASED the following week against McMinn. Essentially, certain offensive coaches won't punish kids & appear to reward kids that act out on defense. I would prefer that we don't get to calling out numbers, because you know I am correct.
  3. I have an issue (not a vendetta) with any adult that's in a position to positively influence a child & decides to be an enabler. I will make no bones about that. Your coach kicked his starting QB off the team for less than the player in question at OR has done.
  4. I love when people that don't know me think that they can read my mind. FWIW, one of the players in question has left the practice field on multiple occasions, but won't be sat more than a few plays. If coach, I mean catswild, is honest, he'll admit it.
  5. Certainly you realize that a team beating up an individual player is likely to be met with different consequences today than in the past.
  6. I never said this happened anywhere. I just asked a hypothetical, and as usual, you assume you know what I'm thinking. Did something like this happen at Oak Ridge?
  7. So you're fine with everyone on the team suffering more than the ruler breakers? Interesting.
  8. Sad thing is that allowing players to upstage any coach, but especially the HC, never ends well for anyone.
  9. Webb won't score double figures. Two TD's & Cats win.
  10. If you are such a mind reader, then I don't need to tell you what I think of your posts. I never mentioned a team or player, nor do I plan to do so. However, I'd love it if you shared any insight you have to particular teams with us. You should set up a booth and tell people the future.
  11. I agree, but some coaches just cannot sit kids that they think might make a difference. IMO, those coaches are not only setting their teams up to ultimately fail, but are also setting the kids they're giving preferential treatment up to do the same in life.
  12. I can handle it when the players in question suffer as much or more discipline. However, it sucks when rest of the team is punished more than the offenders. For example, two starters skip practice that was supposed to be in shorts. Rest of team then has to dress & practice hard, but starters keep their jobs. Board's thoughts?
