Morristown West has the better team, the only question can they get over the Sevier Co. hump. Morristown West has had a hard time stopping Sevier Co. passing the last few years. I think this is the best Defense West has had to put pressure on Sevier Co. offense. I watch Sevier Co. against Morristown East, Their Defense is avg. at best. East ran the ball better then they should have with half of their best players missing the game. Sevier Co. offense looked as good as ever, but Morristown East is so bad on Defense it hard too tell. I fell Mo-West wins because of the Defense, and I think Sevier will have a hard time stopping West running game. Mo-West 31 Sevier Co. 14

With West given East all of those Christmas gift so early(turnovers) you would think we could score at lease once. My hats off to West, they came out in the 2nd half and put it to East. As I stated in my other posts, Is East's better or worst now with the leadership or Head coach we have now? 2 years in a row, East has not score a point against West. I think some of you West fans enjoy how bad East's program is. You know next year will not be any better. Losing year after year is getting really old, and not being able to score against West is making it worse.I know East's has 4 more games, if they Win them they will make the playoff. The sad part is East could make the playoff with a 1-9 record, because 2 teams are on probation. I am going to let the season play-out, but 1-9 or 0-10 should never happen to a School in Hamblen Co. I agree you must show some class if you win or lose. It's looking like Friday game will be a wet one. This has to help my Canes with the weather being bad. A wet football can do some funny things. I know West has the more Talented team this year, but a few drop balls and a fumble here and their; you never know what can happen. I know both teams will have to play with the wet ball, I just hope West has more trouble with it then East. I am looking for a good game and hope no one gets hurt.

I disagree with you as far as stability goes, East had Coach Hatcher here for at lease 9 years. During Coach Hatcher time at East, he played West 11 times, with 2 of those games in the playoff. He only beat West 3 times in those 11 years, but East could have won 4 or 5 times more, if someone would have made a play or a coach make a great call. You said" that Coach Hatcher disrespected West during his time at East". You maybe right, but I know East gave West fits during his 9 year run here. The Culture you are talking about is what he was trying to change. It's not ok to lose all the time, and specially to West High. I not saying Coach Hatcher was a great Coach, I am just saying he understand the need to beat West. This game has become just a little to friendly lately. This game should have a edge to it. West know it is going too beat East every year and East hope they can win each year. That mind set starts with the Coaches and the upperclassmen during offseason workouts. You have to believe you will win and put the work in the weight room to make it happen. Another losing season in 2016 will be all I can take. Wells has next year to fix the problems at East or we need to make a change.

If you think it is coaching, do you think coach wells can turn the program around? It looks to me we are headed in the wrong direction, Last year 6-5 didn't win a game against any teams with winning records. This year 0-5 and the Defense to this point is just plain terrible. I know we have to give Coach Wells a chance to build East program, but these 1st two years haven't looked too good. As far as Talent goes, their is not a whole lot coming from the middle schools ,for either high School. Jefferson Co. and Grainger Co. has own the middle schools the last couple of years. So with that being said, Coaching become more important then ever. No matter what, I am still pulling for my canes, you never know, this could be the one time East's wins.

You could be right on the score, but I sure hope your are wrong. With 2 weeks to get ready for Morristown West ,at lease East should have a few surprise on offense. Getting Beat 2 years in a row badly by West will not cut it at East! This game should go either way every year. Right now, Morristown West has the upper-hand. Really not sure why West has been so much better then East these last 2 years. Is it coaching or is it talent or maybe East is being out worked during offseason workouts? I just want this game to be competive each year, East side of town needs to make it happen! Go Canes!

As a East fan, I would love nothing more then getting a win this Friday. At this point in the season we will be happy with any win. The problem at East, is are Defense hasn't stopped anyone all year. We do not tackle well, and are still blowing pass coverage. I do not understand why the Coaches haven't try something else to fix the problem on Defense. West is going to have a chance to complete for a State Championship the way they play defense. This years game is a bad match-up for East. The Offense will need to score at lease 28 points against one of the best Defense in the State. East will need 3 too 4 turnover from West just to keep this game close. I hope we can give you a game, if not, maybe next year their will be some changes that will aloud East's too complete. I hope this isn't a repeat of last year game. GO CANES!

Morristown East's should be able too move the ball against Tennessee High, the question is can we stop them at all. East's has looked solid against the run in the 1st two games. The reason may be, because we are so terrible in pass coverage that no-one has had to run the football. We have a lot of young player in the secondary that keep getting burn deep. I know the coaches are working hard on getting it fixed. This is really a big game for East's, because it is the 1st confer game and no-one wants to start the season 0-3.Go Luck and I hope my Canes get there 1st win!

What type of Defense does Clinton run? East's offense missed a lot of open receivers, and when did hit one the would drop it. We had a couple of breakdown covering the deep pass, they just out athlete us. We have a good team, take away the fumble after half-time along with Roger #3 not playing. We could have pulled the up-set. As far as the game Friday night, we want to run the football 1st then pass. As noted in other post, we are very big up front. East plans on being more physical then Clinton on both side of the ball. We get the running going it could be a long night for Clinton. Our Defense played a lot better then the score shows.We played really good against the run most of the night, and take away a couple of those long passes we are right their. Surely we will be better against the deep ball this week, if not we will be in trouble.I do think it will be hard for Clinton to have long drive on us. So they will have to have big plays too score.

I really hope no-one on Morristown East is Twitting anything about the game. I know Coach Wells would not like it, that is not how he coaches. You play the game with class on and off the field.It seem to me that someone is trying to get something start by using these Twitter acct. You never know who has someone password. I would like to know what players are Twitting comments about the game, because I sure the coaches would love to know. On a lighter note, I hope catholic fans have a safe trip too Morristown. East's is looking forward to playing the game, go luck too both teams.

Morristown East is very big up front,(offensive line) their weight avg. is really close to 280 lbs .If East can whip Catholic up front, we will have a chance in keeping the game close. We are very young on Defense this year, and at times they seemed to line-up wrong or take bad angles too the ball. The Defense will get better as the season goes along, but for now we will have to play keep-away. Playing at home in-front of a big crowd, and getting few turnover from catholic,you never know what can happen. Go luck to both teams, have a safe trip up Saturday.
