  1. Unfortunately Mr Scott (#80) tore his ACL in that dumpster fire field in Lee County last week. Real shame because he is an absolute stud.
  2. That would be Mr JT Scott. Fantastic player. Like a little OJ Howard. He's is a mismatch in man coverage. So physical.
  3. I think Central didn't play its absolute best but that QB you lot have been talking about is certainly the truth. Courtland got bailed out a few times but he reminds me of Mahomes. Always gunning for the win, throwing caution to the wind. That can lead to stunning plays but also a easy interception (What a catch by Scott to save it though!) But the fight back is what is so different from last year and that's what gives me hope.
  4. Well I certainly liked the fightback by the boys to make this one closer than I imagined after that horror start. Losing by 2 TDs is about what I predicted. If we played like we did in the 2nd half all year I see a very good season for the Vikings! The little things like wrapping up bit us in the end. Expect a dominant victory vs Lee next week...
  5. Honestly no clue. I haven't heard a lot about Boone until this hype machine started cranking up. I figure it's about the running back y'all have (if memory serves). Regardless I think Boone should be a playoff team and so should THS but I'm very careful with this team. Reminds me of two years ago with a good amount of talent but I'm not convinced they can close out teams yet. They can go 7-3 or 4-6 and neither would surprise me. THS football is a roller-coaster nowadays haha. I just hope we give the Knoxville boys some grief tonight and play our brand of ball.
  6. Well we're going to need a flawless game and to stuff the Central run and force this young QB to win it by himself. The odds are stacked against us and I'm not completely sold that Carter can win the game for us although he has the talent to certainly do so. I'd say this one is close at the half but that Knoxville speed and our inability to outscore the Cougars gets us. We're going to learn a lot about what makes this team in this game and vs Boone. I'll say Central 35 THS 24
  7. I can say this, the coaches may not be perfect but they really can't do too much more with this team. Coach Mays God bless him is pretty much out of things he can do to get this team to play well. And that's a shame because he's a great ball coach and there's no one I'd rather have as our top guy. The team can play well for a half and then completely implode in one drive. One drive it'll be the quarterback, then it'll be the line. On defense we're a open gate when it comes to running the ball. Just go outside and we're done because we can't seal and the defensive backs can't tackle tailbacks. We can have 9 guys in the box and still give up seven-eight yards. I hate to break it to the people in the crowd, but this team is just not talented. Some guys play their hearts out and I feel awful for em because they really really love this game and team and it's a shame these guys last season here will be one of the worst we've ever had.
  8. THS gets a hard fought 45-21 win over Sullivan South! Carter and Austin Henson my picks for MVP in this one! Go Vikings!
  9. I might as well make this one. Both teams coming off really disappointing openers. Both with a chance to bounce back. From what I've heard I like our chances in this one. Especially since it's at the Castle.
  10. Tbf Oak Ridge has been a power for quite some time. Plus they have a great amount of talent over there. I don't think coaching was why we lost tonight imo.
  11. Well I'd say that's probably one of the most embarrassing performances in our history. Just dug our own grave. D-B was clearly better but by 47? I don't know....no positives from this. Snowballed out of control. We get South next week and after them getting pounded by Boone I'm decently optimistic of our chances. Also, I'm beginning to wonder if we should stop playing D-B. No real point to it. Just going to get pounded bar a upset every now and again. A small 5A school just can't keep up with a huge 6A school like D-B in football. Perhaps we need to look into others teams that can rake a good gate (looking at you East).
  12. Harsh but I can understand it. I'll say this, I think people will be surprised by how good this team can be. It's all about getting it out of them.
  13. Didn't see anyone else make it so I guess I'll do it. I know there are a few fellow Vikings out there. After last year's second half meltdown I think THS enters this year with less individual talent and more overall team ability. I think we really found an identity at the back half of Crockett and Halls. I think with a full season behind a QB the team gets behind we can have a successful season. Sevier, Mo-West, D-B will be very tough and teams like South, Crockett, and Mo-East can't be slept on either. I won't make record predictions but I want to get a general feeling from y'all on this season.
  14. Well coming in here and seeing we have no chance is about par for the course I suppose. D-B really can't get any worse than last year. I might be alone here but I felt the scoreline was misleading to how the game was going at halftime during last year's game. Course that didn't matter because the team quit completely which seemed to be a trend all last season. Praying that's not a problem and we give y'all 100% all 4 quarters and not just in the warm-ups and opening kickoff like last time. Either way I'm just ready for football.
  15. I feel like someone punched me in the gut. Heart wrenching. We lost the game by ourselves and that's the factor that won the game.
