  1. I believe both District and Region Tournament is in Linden this year. I'm not 100% sure about the Region but i know the District is.
  2. No i'm sorry I meant Perry County's point guard that got ejected at Collinwood will be back.
  3. Perry County plays Clifton and Wayne County we already played Collinwood twice. If Perry County beats Wayne County and Clifton they'll be 5-5 and if Summertown beats Clifton and loses to Loretto and Collinwood they will be 4-6 and if Wayne County loses to Collinwood, Perry County, and Loretto they'll be 3-7 but it's going to be tough for Perry County on Friday night in Waynesboro. Always tough to win down there. They will have their point guard and third leading scorer back so they will have everyone back but who knows, they're in a funk that they seem like they can't get out of.
  4. Really hard to beat a team that was on fire and i'm not exaggerating or making this up: 29/ 38 from the field. The only way the Vikings can get third place now is to win out and Summertown and Wayne Co. lose two out of there last three.
  5. They were about to throw the ball out when the point guard got hit from behind and that's when coach went nuts and there was no signal at all about the first T from what I saw but of course I wasn't paying attention to the other ref but I never heard a whistle and the place was quiet when coach went wild. I know most of this stuff is here say but I was there and watching the game and that's what I saw. But it's in the past he's back and all is good
  6. Game at Loretto changed to tonight
  7. That's been the Vikings achilles heel ever since the start of the new year. I have to say that the Viking players complain and wine instead of playing basketball and their fuse is so short its ridiculous. Coach Haston got ejected because he had no idea he got the first one (saw the film, never heard the first whistle because his back was turned and then after the ref signaled the first T without a whistle, the ref from Waynesboro did the other one right after.) I don't think TSSAA needs to look into the program, the officials have been pretty picky but like i said the Vikings need to just shut up and play without all this extracurricular activity. Just because things are not going the way you want it to go doesn't mean you have to talk crap. I feel like the NBA and NCAA have made a bad influence on players. In both those leagues you can talk to an official and possibly talk crap but this is high school and 95% of kids are not going to college to play basketball or even think of the NBA so they need to just play ball and enjoy the time they have. Sorry for the rant but i've seen it all and to say the program needs to be looked at is pretty ridiculous, they need to look at themselves in the mirror because we have a good ball team maybe not as good as the teams from the past but when they play hard and work together they are just as good as anyone in the district. Hope it starts getting better come tourney time.
  8. District 12A Standings 1.) Summertown Lady Eagles (16-6, 5-1) 2.) Perry Co. Lady Vikings (14-5, 4-2) Loretto Lady Mustangs (11-7, 4-2) 4. Clifton Lady Lions (14-5, 3-3) 5. Wayne Co. Lady 'Cats (5-14, 2-4) 6. Collinwood Trojanettes (4-11, 0-6)
  9. District 12A Standings 1.) Loretto Mustangs (12-7, 6-0) 2.) Collinwood Trojans (10-8, 4-2) 3.) Summertown Eagles (10-11, 3-3) Perry Co. Vikings (12-6, 3-3) 5.) Wayne Co. Wildcats (13-7, 2-4) 6.) Clifton Lions (7-12, 0-6)
  10. Credit Summertown for coming out and punching the Lady Vikings early on and not letting up. Lady Vikings just couldn't get anything going. They better get it together for the rest of the week since they go to Colinwood Friday then Riverside Saturday but then it gets really tough as they go to Loretto Tuesday and Wayne County that Friday.
  11. Coming down to the wire sounds like.
  12. Dang what i tell ya, when they get hot they are flaming! Wish i could be at this one.
  13. Sounds like Collinwood's not making the three's. Live by the three, die by the three. But they are a second half team. Should be good.
  14. I totally agree, McBee can take a ballgame over in a heartbeat.
  15. I feel like Perry County's got a real good chance of being Atleast number 2 or 3 in the district and possibly upsetting Loretto, it was 44-40 Loretto going into the last quarter, but Loretto is just so tall and it's hard to go against their length. Against Collinwood the Trojans probably made 15 3's and when you got 4 of 5 guys that can knock down shots they're tough. That's how they beat Perry County.
  16. If they shoot the three ball like they have and go to glass then they shouldn't have a problem. This team went to Wayne County and Perry County and shot the lights out against two good teams. Should be another good District 12A matchup.
  17. Lady Vikings beat the Lady Lions 37-24. Neither team could get things going on Offense and the Lady Vikings got enough turnovers from the Lady Lions to come up with a huge district win. Three girls for Clifton had 5 points and three girls had 3 points.
  18. The Vikings took care of Clifton 85-65. The Lions made a lot of open shots and they made 22 free throws tonight. The Vikings head coach got ejected after their point guard got pummeled going for a layup and then #10 for Clifton went 4/ 4 from the line and he made 16 of his points at the line. Either way it was an ugly win for the Vikings as they get ready to take on Summertown on tuesday in Linden for a HUGE district game.
  19. Great game last night in Linden between Wayne County and Perry County. The Vikings came away with a huge win 53-52 as the Wildcats lost a tough one. They got fouled with 0.7 seconds left and they kissed two free throws. I really felt bad for the kid at the line. Those free throws didn't lose the game in my opinion. But great win for the Vikings as they are now (11-5, 2-2 12A).
  20. That wasn't what i meant. I meant are they tall?
  21. District Standings 1.) Summertown Lady Eagles (13-6, 2-1) 2.) Perry County Lady Vikings (12-4, 2-1) 3.) Loretto Lady Mustangs (9-6, 2-1) 4.) Wayne County Lady 'Cats (5-11, 2-1) 5.) Clifton Lady Lions (10-4, 1-2) 6.) Collinwood Trojanettes (4-8, 0-3)
  22. District Standings 1.) Loretto Mustangs (9-7, 3-0) 2.) Collinwood Trojans (8-7, 2-1) 3.) Summertown Eagles (9-9, 2-1) 4.) Perry County Vikings (10-5, 1-2) 5.) Wayne County Wildcats (12-5, 1-2) 6.) Clifton Lions (7-9, 0-3)
  23. Perry County's leading scorer was sick and sat out this game. Lady Vikings are getting better but consistency is the only thing that hurts the Lady Vikings.
