The Lady Vikings played well to get the victory but i got to tip my hat to the Summertown Lady Eagles. That team only has one Senior, McKenzie Kilburn, and she was studly all night long. She had 34 points of the 59 scored by the Lady Eagles. Summertown may be young but they clawed and scratched their were back into the game when a lot of teams would of just said well maybe next year. Not these Lady Eagles. They fought their hind-ends off until the buzzer sounded. It was a great game to watch. Yes Perry County was ahead most the game but it was becoming a nail biter with 3 minutes to go in the game. Hope the Lady Vikings come out and play to their best ability against a much improved Columbia Academy team. Once again congratulations Summertown on a great season. Can't wait to see how good y'all will be next year when everyone is a junior and we all know they will be even more improved.

Just wondering how have we not been tested? Y'all lost to Clifton by 9 we won by 31. Y'all beat Loretto by 12 but it was tight until like 3 minutes to go. We won by 18 and was up by 26. If Perry County plays like they have they should win but most Perry County teams never play good against Summertown in games like this. Statically speaking Perry County girls or boys don't play good against Summertown.

If the score was 31-27 at half and the final score was 78-48 how did Summertown score 50+? 78-31= 47. Not trying to down playing it but I've seen a couple of y'all say 54, 55 points? That would make it 85 or 86. But I expect it to be a good game but it worries me because Summertown is really good and are due a really good win and Perry County's due a bad game. Just hope I'm wrong but most the time im not.

Only time Summertown seems to play their best ball is always gainst Perry County. If Perry County's defense can make someone other than Kilburn beat them then they will have a shot but Summertown has so much depth and a lot of shooters. The Lady Vikings have been playing very good team ball ever since Summertown was the last to beat them on January 26th in Linden 57-46. Should be a good game. Hopefully Perry County can pull it out but it's going to be tough because it seems like Summertown has had our number ever since we beat them last year in the Region Semi-Finals.

Does anyone know anything about Cornersville? Are they tall? Any shooters to worry about?

The only thing about the Lady Vikings is that they don't have a lot of size but ever since they lost 57-46 at home to Summertown, this team has turned a corner and look primed to defend their Region 6A Championship. Got to beat Cornersville first then worry about Summertown.

I'll take Loretto and Wayne County because I'd love to see that game on a neutral floor.

Can yall believe how good Hampshire is playing? Upsetting Santa Fe 65-60 and beating Cornersville 59-51?

Welp Clifton sure did come to play tonight. They slowed the game down and made Summertown play their half court style of play. Congratulations to the Lions and congratulations to the Lady Vikings who played great tonight.

I'd rather play Wayne County at their place to be honest. Perry County's playing good ball but they have another big test tonight as they head to Clifton to play the Lady Lions.

Should be a great District tournament in Linden next week and then the Region stays here. I'd like to see Loretto and Wayne County play each in the District Championship and honestly i could see them playing each other in the Region Championship as well.

Not sure why it is such a big deal. If i was from Summertown or any other district team i'd rather go to Linden than waynesboro. You have more room to sit and plus better viewing areas.

Anybody know how the Collinwood, Clifton game turned out?

Both District and Region are in Perry County this year. And honestly we should have it along with Waynesboro more often. We have the biggest gym in the district and Region. Can hold 3,000 with standing room only.

hmmm seems like you have only been hearing "hear say". There has not been any parents ejected. Now at Riverside there was a guy that got ejected but he's not a parent. But other than that you are correct. #14 for the Vikings last night got T'd up for running out of bounds and back in bounds but i still don't understand how that is good for a Technical? But yes there have been ALOT of technicals called on the Vikings and coaching staff this year. Either way they are playing bad at the wrong time of the year and its going to be a ballgame down in Clifton on Tuesday.

I believe Wayne County will win this game. Not really sure on the score but if the Vikings play like they have the past three games it could be a blow out. Let's just hope that don't happen.

Give anything for Perry County to win but Summertown would still have to lose to Collinwood at home. But it's gonna be hard tomorrow night down in the 'Boro for Perry ounty to pull up in my opinion a upset.

For Perry County to have any chance of getting the number three spot in the district these things have to go right: 1.) Wayne County has to lose at Collinwood tonight or lose to Loretto and lose to Perry County tomorrow night 2.) Summertown has to lose to Loretto tomorrow night and then to Collinwood at home 3.) Perry County has to beat Wayne County on the road tomorrow night and at Clifton on Tuesday Even if Wayne County beats Collinwood they would be 4-5 in the district so Perry County would still have to beat them tomorrow in Waynesboro. Gotta love end of the season scenarios. But either way should be some good basketball down in the 'Wood tonight. I may head down there to watch this game. Never been to a Collinwood/ Wayne County game in any sport before. I bet it'll be a great atmosphere.

You got that right. As long as the Vikings keep their cool they play better but they gotta bring their A game to beat a very dangerous and talented Wayne County team on the road.
