Interesting….I’m a LA guy so my comments may have bias…but if you’re an LA fan this should be concerning. Here’s why: -Trent’s only connection to Lipscomb was the fact that his daughter played volleyball at the university….she transferred to Liberty last year. So although LA has done a lot for Trent, he has much more for the academy. Is he loyal or does he just love coaching football? -if Trent wants to have the best high school program in the country…think IMG, Mater Dei, John Bosco….Ensworth can provide that…LA can’t compete with $ vs Ensworth. Is that his goal? Wouldn’t surprise me….he is driven. -will the new university president be ok with the academy football program being bigger than anything on the university campus? I do think Trent wants a faith based program…not sure how Ensworth would feel about that….anyway, this may be worth watching…..

Not really..a couple maybe if you count Hank and the new safety…but to compare LA to McCallie, Baylor, IMG, etc is not an accurate comparison….most if not all of LAs “national” kids over the last few years have been families that moved to Nashville and chose Lipscomb…not moved to Nashville because of Lipscomb. It doesn’t matter either way but those are the facts.

Does lipscomb have a national roster? Please elaborate.

Me too….LA may be out matched physically but Thompson won’t be able to score. I’m thinking a similar score to last night…17 or 21-7….if so, that would be the two best wins of anyone in country…and that’s not hyperbole. Also, hank looks really good. Liberty going to have a hard time hanging on to him.

Agree…LA offense will put up big numbers this year. I get what Trent tried to do last night…up 17-0, but could’ve backfired. Defense is scary good though. Not sure Milton had 200 yds of offense last night and that may be the best offense LA plays all year.

Its a great question…Lipscomb was in a similar spot and lucked in to Trent…otherwise they would in the same situation. don’t think this has been talked about but why would Pjp2 coach go to Fra? I don’t get that move at all unless a little bit of money plus the thought of maybe 2 divisions in the future with FRA playing down?

Took a shot at revising your last sentence…. LA’s football program was in the toilet in 2018 and 2019 and now is in the top 25 in the USA because of changing their approach to football.

Spill it BT…that’s what a message board is….a bunch of gossip and trash talk!! Looking forward to the games again this year….both teams should be battle tested…cpa always plays a tough schedule but this will be somewhat new for LA. I’m one of the few that thinks Lipscomb will take a step back…Broome was a special high school running back. Defense will be salty though.

Tell me what’s going on…..looks like a page right out of the Drew Maddux playbook. CPA players the worst by far according to the kids…sorry that hurts your feelings.

Talk to the kids…CPA continues to be team with the worst language/worst behavior of any team Lipscomb plays all year. Dismiss it all you want but this comes from the out of state/transfer kids. They were/are surprised with who CPA claims to be vs who they are. It may be an LA problem only but it’s shocking to hear some of the stuff.

Not sure what “Img academy” means..thought they were a boarding school sort of like Mccallie and Baylor would love to play the heavyweights…only one to return a phone call is Knox catholic milton, Thompson, Knox catholic not a strong enough out of conference schedule for you?

Yep…but our defense is pretty stout too.. wish yall would play us in the regular season…hate we’re having to play Milton GA, Thompson Al, pure academy Memphis (whoever that is)…we would love a home and home with Pearl. Tell your coach to return a phone call. love watching y’all play…very well coached. Your team is a little different this year…huge but not as skilled as years past…run 24 and 7 up the gut and you won’t be stopped.

LA by 21+ in a 4 quarter game…you guys have no speed on offense..good D though…

Whatever..PC never sniffed the end zone. LA scored when they did red zone (started from the 25). PC went backwards. PC has a good D.
