I also would put East Defense up against anyone! They scrimmaged Whitehaven this summer and neither offense could move the ball.

Great! They really needed money! It would have been nice for one of the "inner city" schools that are truly scrapped for cash. But anyhow, I guess you can give your cash to whomever you want.

I can give you an example 3rd and ten inside Ridgeway's ten yard line, we recovered a fumble and the referee blows an inadvertent whistle that gave Ridgeway the ball back. They scored the next play! Game changer!!!!

This game is going to be a real dandy! I think both teams will score points. The breaking point is if East can run the ball and play good defense, they'll represent Memphis in the semi finals... I think overall, East is a more complete team that plays a better overall game. Ridgeway however depends on big plays and rarely are they able to put together long drives without making mistakes. Again, this will be an awesome game!

This game was originally forfeited because of some grade issues at Trezevant. The game is now back on! With two of the areas best running backs, I look for both teams to try to establish the run. This will be a real dog fight! I'm taking Memphis East 10-7 in a tight one. Who do you guys have?

Actually, East High was the best 4a team in Memphis. Trezevant was 2a last year. East beat them 36-14 and it was quite easy!

This is my game of the week in the Memphis area. Both teams are coming off good seasons last year Cordova 8-3 and East 12-2. Cordova lost in the first round of the playoffs while East lost in the semi-finals. East lost a lot of seniors last year but from what I saw in the jamboree, they will still be a good team this year. I'm going with East in this one. Cordova hasn't been battle tested and East has. East 24 Cordova 21

This is going to be a great game! Both teams are very athletic and well coached. I do think that Pearl Cohn uses a little too much trickery than I would like to see, besides that, I think these two teams are pretty much evenly matched. I'm picking Memphis East 17 PC 14.

Hardin Co's Qb is a beast and he will have to be contained if East is going to ha a chance. On the flip side, East has a stud We/Db on Teddrick McGee. Can't wait to see this one!
