What about Palmer at Fayetteville? May be too honest for the Giles County faithful. Thomas from Lincoln County? What about the old D coordinator under O'Connor? I am sure he remembers how to run an indoor practice in the months of January, Februaryand March. May even have a couple of those MCHS numbers that they used to call...lol

I don't think he is a SEC QB but he is definitely a SEC caliber athlete. Also a great kid. I think too many people not associated with the program got in his ear and really cost him what could have been a great senior year. It is a shame that these so called QB gurus feed off these type kids and are not even a coach. Just my opinion.

Not hating at all. I like Coleman a lot and respect what he has done at Summit and at Forrest but to say he is the coach of the year in a district where you have the number 1 team in the state who has been blowing people out with 2nd and 3rd string QB is a joke. A couple of wins over teams that obviously overlooked Summit does not make him coach of the year. With that being said he has done a great job and they will continue to get better under his leadership.

No but inexperienced players that do not understand the focus that it takes to play football does lead to those mistakes. When I say players I do not mean they have to be great athletes but they do need to be knowledgeable of the game. They apparently do not get that in your county. Hard for a head coach to build those things in a couple years especially if he doesn't have quality coaches.

And on of the most pathetic things that I have seen is for a group of individuals to get on here and bash a coach who is busting his butt for a school that puts no emphasis of football, for a system that allows no feeder, for a bunch of parents that do not appreciate nor have any clue what it takes to be successful in football. Football is not easy and not played in an air conditioned gym takes special young men to handle it

You got it wrong there coach. I am not blaming Osteen I think he is one heck of a coach. But to use the excuse of getting reps as a reason for running up a score is rediculous. You all din't like it when OC did it to you all at Giles now did you? They have JV games and Freshman games for a reason. There is a lot to be said for respecting your opponents. I do believe Osteen will get that with maturity and then he will be a complete coach in my opinion. Offensive X's and O's he is outstanding. Now go coach up the team.

Again Marshall County fans living in their own world. Magochy at Page has very similar stats against tougher competition and with less surrounding talent. Over 1800 yards passing, for 18 Tds and 1 Int. Just over 200 yards rushing with 3 Tds. Very similar to Posey (who is very deserving in my opinion) but to say no other QB has those kind of numbers is rediculous again with less talent around him). Also a couple in East Tn with great numbers. Will be interesting to know how many of those yards for Posey was while they were running up the score. Also would love to know how many coaches will not vote for him due to that. I know at least 2 in the region that will vote for someone else!!!

Completely agree. Very good QB. Don't understand how neither he nor the Page QB has any offers. Absolutely tragic!! As much as I love Oden and what he has done for the Raiders he very well could be the 3rd best QB in this region.

To be honest the hiring process in Williamson county is very tough. With that mess on his resume from Blackman he can forget about the Nolansville job. Just saying!!

Wardawg I know this was just an opinion but I am impressed with what their coaching staff was able to do this year. I only got to see the Spring Hill and Giles games and both those teams had more and better athletes on the field but Page still managed to win. Still think Marshall will smoke them in 2 weeks though. Also thought it would be fun to look at pre season predictions

Here is what I don't understand. A couple years ago when OC and yes Osteen were at Giles they continually ran the score up on teams. They would intentionally embarrass teams to stroke their own egos. If I remember correctly the Marshall County faithful would be the first to complain about how low class this was and how unsportsmanlike those coaches where. Well now their coach is running up the score and WOW all of a sudden it is ok and he is applauded. Really shows the true character of both communities. Turchetta was ticked off because Osteen was trying to embarrass his team and his players. I don't blame him for being mad. And yes Recruiting the Wallace kid and illegally practicing which is the word on the street is much worse than the finger. Sooner or later it will come around. It always does.
