  1. and the crazy thing is Blake was arguably the stand out of this team last year
  2. 20-18-17 by Dupree Harris and Brown respectively. perfect example of balance
  3. Yeah i agree, pretty balanced. The on ball pressure is causing many TOs. I cant wait to see East run their press this afternoon.
  4. 54-43 after 3. WV definitely playing til the finish
  5. yup. Only teams that can contain tyler is East and Blackman
  6. Cordova 37-22 at half. Seen the wolves play several times this year and if you ask me they are not taking WV serious. It could be much worse.
  7. Cordova is walking all over Walker Valley right now they are playing sloppy IMO but still up 35-20 in the first half. Tyler Harris has 16 already.
  8. Maybe this forum has sparked a debate in the city http://www.901prepscoop.com/2016/03/09/top-10-players-irregardless-of-class-in-the-city/
  9. Believe me buddy you will be cheek to cheek next fall when you see the kids there.
  10. fisher had 6 lol i wish he played with solid players around him. He would be a top 25 kid if so
  11. That kid at A Maceo Walker is a grown man he's like 6'4 225 in the 8th grade lol he's built like a linebacker. Word is Whitehaven is getting a few of the top middle school guys next year, at least 4. coach Phillips has been coaching those boys on the AAU circuit for years now and the parents love his philosophy. They will challenge some teams next year as freshman just like East did last year, but they will for sure be vying for trips to Murfeesboro in 2018. Its along way away i know but im a fan of both levels and sorry for getting off topic of the thread lol
  12. Yeah i seen him I also saw how he received the MVP after his teammate Jaylen Brown scored 24 or 27 in the city championship with him only scoring like 12 or something. I've seen him dominate before but not on a frequent basis. Best kept secret in middle school is hands down Matthew Murrell and arguably the best player, just played for a smaller John P Freeman school with no help. But the kid showed out in the 901prepscoop all star game. Remember the name
  13. those arms are freakish lol looks like he could touch his knees standing straight. Jevonte is the man! He and Scotty Mason
  14. Jonathon may be the best when its all said and done, he's 6'2-3 already in the 7th grade. He may not get as tall as the others but it could probably benefit him more athletically in the long run(not having to grow into another tall lanky frame), but he doesn't have that killer instinct in him like chandler did at American Way.
  15. Not taking that USA today bait at all. Most of that top 25 couldn't be the press at East in a neutral setting. Wont be able to make the tourney but i will be watching online cant wait for the East Blackman matchup
  16. well you got a point there we all have our own opinions. He's actually probably alot better than we see at East bc he's on a talented squad that plays 10 players. Maybe with more touches he would be more dominant. He's definitely not just a regular 6'9 freshman with only height he has game. Saw the james wiseman kid at Ensworth in the state tourney and Chandler would own that kid. Would be interesting to see what type of numbers he would put up being the key player outside of AAA
  17. Not much tape out there on him. He's pass first not flashy at all but you have to see him in person to see his ability and the fact that he can take over the game if he wants. i thought hoover wouldve recieved it due to stats and a hot start at the beginning of the season but lomax is the better all around player and he surely deserved it over Higgins.
  18. worst form of highlights ever. doesn't show anything but bad defense and lazy alley oops lol. i'm happy to finally see video evidence though
  19. Chase Hayden and Darius Garland takes home the DII mr basketball awards.
  20. man this list can go on lol i tried not to make it too long but its crazy how talented the state is. bins could be a solid #1 just about at 95% of schools in the state. Bins Brown and Cheatham sacrificed alot playing with each other as far as personal stats go. but the list could go on. Hoover, Bruce Guy, Joe Cooper, Antonio Reed, Tevin Olison, Haywood has two very talented kids, Blackman has a solid PG, way too many kids to name honestly especially in the shelby metro. The two slipped my mind earlier but you are correct!! We have a scoring PG heavy state, size is the only thing that limits some from being high major prospects.
  21. maybe more if some of the kids continue to develop, and some are overlooked.
  22. i've been blabbering enough without putting out a top 5 lol Jaylen Fisher Darius Garland Tyler Harris Abdul Ado Shai Alexander Other notable players who would be difference makers on all class levels Lawson Mark Freeman Darrell Brown Jr Jordan Bone William Douglas Ty Key Parker Stewart Stokes Blake Williams TJ Moss Alex Lomax
  23. I fear for whatever team that draws Cordova first in the Boro bc of all 6 possible opponents non have played Cordova this year or summer. Its easily a 75% chance that their starting guards have never played against tyler yet along see him in live action, and anyone who has seen this kid go to work before knows it can be a long night if you dont know how to guard him. If he isn't doubled he will flirt with 40 before the tourneys over unless he lets Blake Williams get some of the shine (dont get me started on his ability). Cordova is talented, an all memphis final may be in the making again.
