They need to cancel 2020 season and wait for vaccines. They are not going to let 100,000 + fans into stadiums or fill up high school stadiums this year. That would cause a big spike in cases. I will hate it for the seniors. But they got to be smart. I’ll be ready for Clinton football in 2021.

Its a team game. Alcoa doesn't run up individual stats on teams, especially teams they are beating 49-0 at half. Sankey only played about 2.5 quarters in 12 games. Ask the teams that played against Alcoa what #15 did do them when he touched the ball either running or catching it.

If I'm not mistaken ,Alcoa had 5 or more guys score TDs in  ten different  games. Coach Rankin called off the dogs early in those games. He could have just kept feeding Sankey and running up the score but he didn't.

Loudon had 3 All State players on Offense and PC had 2. Sankey out scored them all in the semi and State championship games when Alcoa played those teams.  How is that for a stat? If one player outscores two teams with a total of 5 All State offensive players in the semis and state championship game he has a good case for making the All State team as well.

As a side note, the TSWA named their ALL State team. Tollett and Cox were added to the five that TNFCA named for Alcoa. Giving the Tornadoes a total of 7 on the team. Sankey was not on the TSWA All state team either,  however they only named 28 as opposed to the 39 named for the TNFCA.

I totally get what your saying. All state recognizes individual players. Being so good is a blessing and a curse. You dont see many 800 yard all state backs. Theres wing t teams where their 2nd or 3rd back gets that many yards. He may have the most potential he just didnt put up the numbers.

I have no dog in this race, but I do have an opinion... if you are as totally dominant on both sides of the ball as is Alcoa, nobody has the right to knock one of their fans for sticking up for the kids on the team. He could have said they all deserved to be selected and who could have made an argument with substance to "prove" otherwise? He also could have called out kids from other teams in comparison to the Alcoa kids, but chose not to. I'm not saying that even one Alcoa player deserved to bump someone from the team, but there's not much room to criticize someone for stating his opinion with the amount of stats there to back him up.

Theres no stats backing up his opinion. Just what the "Team" scored. A quick google says Sankey had 887 rushing yards. That number may or may not be accurate. But if it is thats why he didnt make it.

Why are you triggered?  I'm simply asking an honest question as I'm curious.

Theres 6 or 7 that went to ums. Along with the prescott kids they make up the majority of the team. Kids athletes and non athletes feed in from prescott every year because upperman is closer. Another middle school in the plans a couple of miles from upperman also.

Over 90% of the schools would move to the private classifications.....:roflolk:

Might as well as do way with classifications! Which is fine with us Alcoa fans, cause they'd still be whipping tails on the football field and we'd still get to laugh at the winers here, all wanting champions of live trophies!:thumb:

Lol you would not win any year if there was no classifications..Alcoa is good but not good enough to be champions if you mix them in with the best the state has to offer.

BC, you mean to tell me that not only are some of the bball Bees out of UHS zone, but some are also from outside the Putnam county lines?.....Surely that can't bee correct?

Thanks for clarifying the difference.  We do not charge if they are from within the county. So most of your tuition students are from within the county? And most of that 20% number is also BC kids? Thats a completely different scenario then what was said in the past.

    100 percent true.

No its not. And i would think you would be intelligent enough to get my point. Even tho your a homer. What he is saying is completey different from my point. Kids that play basketball at uhs live in putnam county. Its open zone they can go whereever they want. Putnam county charges tuition for kids that live outside the county. Zero uhs bball players are tuition. Over 20% of your schools total enrollment is from outside the county. They pay tuition. That numbers needs to be capped at like 5%-10%. No reason for more than that.

Sooo what you are saying is because Alcoa and Maryville charge a tuition for out of zone kids that makes them cheaters and should go private but since Upperman lets those out of zone kids in without charging them then they are ok?  That is just plain stupid.  It sucks that the Gold ball goes to those 2 schools every year and I am sure they do some shady things (like a lot of school I might add) but that analogy makes zero sense.

No. You guys like to twist it up. Putnam and Blount if Im not mistaken have pretty much the same rules. If a kid from anywhere within Blount or putnam wants to go to any high school in that county the county is ok with it. Nothing you can do in that format it happens..While maryville and Alcoa both benefit from this more than schools in putnam. Because they have more schools and the other schools programs are bad. But nothing wrong with that. They have been dominant for long stretches of time. Its the kids that dont live within the county. And it doesnt make them cheaters. Because there are no rules against it. Their should just be a cutoff point. Over 20% of your students driving in from other counties daily is absurd. That does not take place here and never will. People have to much pride in their communities for that much to travel. What is happening there is 1 out of every 5 kids is from another school system. The kids that are paying tuition are those kids. That is more typical of what private schools do than public schools.

Not that it is really any better but the senior class actually went 1- 39. 2-38 if you count a forfeit from Powell.

Certainly better. And not poking fun at those players. Just sad they havent had more opportunitues. Changing coaches every year sure doesnt help. Better of to just get one and stick with him. If its a good hire they will figure out how to win eventually.

Best recruits in the area. Over 50% out of zone players. Bunch of cheaters!

Lol..I see what your trying to do. Its not the same and not even relevant to this board. What bothers people in Cookeville is a very good prescott team all mostly went to upperman. Juniors now. Its not unusual for prescott kids to go to upperman it is probably closer than cookeville high. They were ju.st expected to go to CHS. These arent tuition students. Just putnam county kids thst preferred uhs over chs. Im sure quite a bit of that goes on in Blount. Considering the other 2 schools football records. My gripe is kids that live outside the county that are trasported in daily.

    Like Upperman's Basketball Team?

Lol. No we dont bring them in from out of county either. Im not aware of any player at upperman thats a tuition student. Maybe you should enlighten us. The power behind that team is all native to the county.

Then you get people who want to put aMultiplier on open zones which would put everybody in Nashville 5 or 6a along with memphis

Something needs to be done about excessive tuition students in open zone. Maybe kick them over with privates after they go over a certain percentage.

  13. Good game bees. Red bank had a great game plan. And just like our previous loss there is no excuse ever for putting the ball on the ground. But this one plain and simple Red Bank was the better team. Bigger stronger faster and it showed. Bees had some deficiencies they were able to hide all season but Red Bank attacked them all night. All in all not a bad season for what was supposed to be a down year and we were supposed to finish 2nd or 3rd in our own region. Im not going to take your troll bait because your just miserable humans that enjoy others grief. Karma will catch up to you tho. We will be back next season. You cant shame me. Or ridicule me. Or troll me to death. Black and Gold dont run and hide. But for now we are done.  And as always we are coming to kick that a** Alcoa. You just got off the hook this time.
