  1. Dont believe everything you hear. I teach in inner city Knoxville public schools and the things people "hear" and what goes on is true. My son plays football at Catholic and he's never been bullied or picked on. Nowadays to get a transfer and not sit out all you have to say is "my kid is being bullied" because it's an issue in schools across America. Just like racial profiling by the police runs rampant in the press and so on. If you have proof then turn it in to the Arch Diocese, they run the school. People who have no association with a school always "know" someone; or "heard" something. Things go on everywhere at schools. I'm not doubting that. Catholic has issues just like public schools do. Kids from different backgrounds with different frames of mind. Instead typing you're disgusted do something about it.

  2. From what I have heard about your program, I would save myself a phone call. I was sickened to hear what goes on in this football program and school. The players behavior and recruiting are bad enough, but bullying and picking on kids by players and coaches should never be allowed. Especially in a religious based school. Shame on the media for failing to report the true happenings of this team and school. I will be praying for its many victims.

  3. Yea .. I made comments about not bring impressed with#68 .. the first Fulton game he was slow and had numerous penalties and got handled by a lot by smaller guys .. that being said The ls st 2 games I have seen improvement .. realizing he is a soph I might have been a little harsh in my assessment . He has improved some .. but the issue of his immaturity should be addressed .. his waving to opposing fans has happened 2 weeks in a row so guess his coaches didnt address it .. his reputation will be enhanced a lot if he follows one of his team mates example ..#36 for KC is a class kid and football player .. if I had advice for #68 is to follow the kid example who is 1 year older than him

Heard today that the boy is almost 17 and should be a Junior.  His parents chose to have him repeat 8th grade so that he would have an advantage in football.

  4. Had to catch the game on the radio. The guys calling the game were awesome. Not a couple of homer types like so many teams have.Catholic has a great team right now and the Devils were right there with a chance to win had things went their way.Best of luck to Catholic as they move on to the semi game. Here is my thoughts on the 16 year old.I've raised a kid or two and they are all different .I've always taught them to be humble but sometimes if they were not, life has a way of doing it .That young man is a stud and I'm 100% sure he will get the same talk .A 15 yard unsportsmanlike could have cost Catholic a bunch at the right time last night and if nothing else, I wouldn't want someone else to have a bullseye on him if he were my son.

    .

I read the comments by Cole Smith, QB at CAK, at the same time I read the ones by Cade Mays. No comparison.  Shows the character of both players, coaches, and teams clearly.

  5. As stated earlier I enjoyed my trip their. Fans were gracious and very friendly. Didn't get to go to Pals though.

I watched the game on TV - wasn't for or against anyone.  But this guy is right: #68 plays dirty and is proud of it. Blaming his behavior on the fact that he is only 16 is unacceptable; his parents and coaches are to blame for not addressing that.  His comments in the paper about "wanting to hit #3 hard all night" and "we wanted to leave a message that we're here and here to stay" show a complete lack of class that stem from the top down.
