  1. Can't ever count CAK out. Bet this will be a good game.
  2. A similar act was attempted on a freshman at knox catholic this year. The principal and coach did nothing about it so the boy finally quit school. The ones who did it got a slap on the wrist. Sad that kids think this stuff is okay and coaches just brush it under the rug.
  3. Not my battle to fight but from what I hear from very reliable sources, the cover up starts at the top - which has been proven of the Catholic religion. I'm old school, but football coaches and programs should build kids up, not tear them down. Sad to hear that this talented program doesn't subscribe to that.
  4. I'm not a Marshall County fan. I just like good football. But I recently learned a lot about the Catholic program. Lots of sad endings for some kids and I can't agree with that.
  5. Agreed. Kid had a great game last night and a nice post interview. Good luck to him and his team.
  6. Hard to beat Alcoa'a size this year - I think you're right. Should be a good game.
  7. From what I have heard about your program, I would save myself a phone call. I was sickened to hear what goes on in this football program and school. The players behavior and recruiting are bad enough, but bullying and picking on kids by players and coaches should never be allowed. Especially in a religious based school. Shame on the media for failing to report the true happenings of this team and school. I will be praying for its many victims.
  8. Heard today that the boy is almost 17 and should be a Junior. His parents chose to have him repeat 8th grade so that he would have an advantage in football.
  9. I read the comments by Cole Smith, QB at CAK, at the same time I read the ones by Cade Mays. No comparison. Shows the character of both players, coaches, and teams clearly.
  10. I watched the game on TV - wasn't for or against anyone. But this guy is right: #68 plays dirty and is proud of it. Blaming his behavior on the fact that he is only 16 is unacceptable; his parents and coaches are to blame for not addressing that. His comments in the paper about "wanting to hit #3 hard all night" and "we wanted to leave a message that we're here and here to stay" show a complete lack of class that stem from the top down.
