I am totally and completely flabbergasted that people keep picking Marion when vb beat them both games last year and earlier this year. Everybody keeps saying Walters this and Walters that while he is a good player y'all must see something in him that I do not. The district will no doubt come down to these two teams and I'm sure most of y'all will keep picking Marion for reasons unbeknownst to me

All I have to say is Lakelyn Bouldin. I'm not going to go on about her but she was nominated last year and should be this year committed to utc so she should be a no brainer

You were right about the all state so I apologize for that so I'm going to let this die and wait until the next game like I said I hope he plays then we will see who comes out on top

If he was such a stud in Alabama at a 4a school why is he back at a 1a school. I'm sure you will have a convinient reason. I also looked at 3 websites and saw no mention of the ole boy as an all state player but if you say so I guess it's true

Looks like ole VB got the better of the first match up. Any time you can get a win on the road against a district rival is a good win. Looks like it is as the first post suggested a two horse race between these two teams and I still believe vb is the favorite.

As this game gets closer did Marion or VB go to any Christmas tournaments?

While I frequently browse coacht, I have never commented but thought I would add my two cents here. Van Buren should be considered the front runner, however I did see where they lost to Clay and Jackson county by 30 points each. If they play like they did against those teams Marion just might sneak up on them. I agree with the rest of you that it is between those two teams with Van Buren having a slight edge over Marion. But with Marion having the reigning district player of the year and the potential for VB to play as badly as they did early in the season its anybody's guess.
