  1. The score was 35-33. It was in Sevierville. Winterfest tournament during Christmas break. I was there all three days. And to address upperman not scheduling good teams. There were two separate brackets. One had all 5 ranked teams that were there, the other had no ranked teams. Upperman asked to be moved from the better bracket to the lower, and didn’t play any teams that will contend in region tournaments.
  2. Then you weren’t at the cchs game or any other game at smhs. The entire student section yells that the whole game at every game I’ve been to there. You were misinformed
  3. Who did you hear from? I was there, didn’t hear one profane word from cchs side. Certainly not any aimed at the players. There is not a nastier or more vulgar fan base or student section in Tennessee than stone memorial high school. The student section uses more profanity than a construction crew, and yells “ ref you suck” after every call they don’t like. I’ve heard the words they’ve yelled at players. At home and on the road. I didn’t hear that from somebody, I’ve been in that gym many many times and heard that myself. Also, as low class as it gets, is when your granddaughter tries to intentionally hurt players. That too, I have seen on multiple occasions. As I’ve said to you before, clean your own house before criticizing some one else’s. Envy is a cruel master. Jealousy is unbecoming on a teenager, but just plain ugly on a woman your age.
  4. Thank you for reinforcing my last statement to the previous poster.
  5. Making comments on games that you didn’t see, makes you seem even more ignorant than you really are
  6. Looked like it last night. But you wouldn’t know, since you weren’t there
  7. Carter is a very good player. Probably the best in district 8. From what I’ve seen, she would be my second pick. I would take her on my team before shutes. But she didn’t outscore Dishman in the region game. Carters high score last year was against upperman in the state final, when she scored 32. Dishman scored 35 in the region game against Macon, so Carter couldn’t have scored more than Dishman head to head.
  8. How many should a scoring guard be expected to have? In the games I’ve seen her play, I would guess between 5 and 10 on rebounds, assists, and steals. She’s always around the ball.
  9. I’ve not seen those two people play, nor do I know who they play for, but I saw Dishman take shutes to school time and time again. The best team that Haywood played through the tournaments to get to the state had 8 losses, so an easy road to the state doesn’t prove anything other than there wasn’t much talent in the West. I would take Dishman over shutes everyday
  10. I saw the game. Shutes couldnt stop her. Dishman scored 9 more than Haywood’s entire team. You can’t have a better comparison than head to head. So, who would you say is the better player?
  11. And Dishman scored 44 on shutes last year, when they played. Shutes scored 17. And Haywood lost by more than 50.
  12. Greenfield played picket county in the first round of the state because picket county beat Clarkrange in region, after losing twice to them in regular season. Just because a team beats another in regular season, doesn’t mean you can declare that team better. Especially when you didn’t see the game
  13. Remind all of us who greenfield played in the finals last year. I believe that team lost both regular season games to Clarkrange. In fact, Clarkrange last two losses last year were to two teams they swept in regular season.
  14. What can you tell about a team by reading a score on a website? Unless you were there, you can’t make any kind of informed decision. Tell us what you learned from a game between two teams you’ve never seen play
  15. Considering that the official who had the parent removed, made a gesture to the parent after he called the 5th foul on his daughter, and, from what I understand, is a business associate of the home team coach, and a personal friend of his family, the tssaa should take a closer serious look into the matter. All situations like that one only serve to cast dark shadows on the tssaa and the credibility of it’s officials. All that most players and coaches want is a somewhat level playing field, however there are a few who will take a win any way they can, or influence a game to their desired outcome, even If they have to sacrifice their integrity.
  16. A cchs parent was ejected and suspended a couple of games, for yelling at a ref, but he was able to avoid house arrest.
  17. And one last thing. I’ve seen your fans in other gyms from byrdstown to Bradley central, and they don’t just sit there quoting scripture. You have a grandma over there that can match any sailor word for word. So, like I said before, clean your own house first.
  18. Are you mentally ill? You just bashed the coach, fans, and parents, in a post claiming that you didn’t bash the coach, fans, and parents. If you believe that was a legitimate win, more power too you. It just shows how the character of that program has deteriorated since Tim Smith left. I have no tie to cchs basketball other than enjoy watching the games, but I won’t sit idly by and let someone insults parents and fans for supporting their team. Not one cchs parent has posted here. All the negative posts have been from stone fans and fans from other teams who can’t beat cchs, who weren’t at the game, and want to celebrate by proxy through stones win.
  19. You started the thread, boasting about stones third big win over cchs in the last 6 years. Bashing fans, players, and the coach. Then you get all bent out of shape when someone who was actually there corrects you. If you have video, please put it on here, or stop telling everybody you have it. You think it’s ok for stones fans to yell at a game but not cchs fans. I guess in your mind, an entire student section screaming “ref you suck” is nothing, but 1 parent calling the same ref an “sob” is the end of the world. Sounds like you need a coloring book and a safe space.
  20. When the ref told the policeman to remove the parent, he went to him asked him to leave, he got up and left. There was no incident. He did nothing to be ejected for. I’ve sat by him at many away games in several different gyms, and that is the only time I’ve seen a referee have him removed. Go ahead and enjoy bucks third win against cchs in his career at stone, against14 losses. Funny, the only time they’ve won was at stone.
  21. Cchs substituted regularly throughout the game. You weren’t even there, you don’t know what happened
  22. I sat in the middle of the cchs section. Didn’t hear one f bomb from anybody on that side of the gym except the student section to my right. And I left of my own accord, after the third quarter of the boys game
  23. You can’t make adjustments to bad officiating.
  24. And exactly who was yelling f bombs and flipping birds on cchs side? I saw who was escorted out, and I know what he said, and it was neither of those
