I wouldn't call it dominant. I watched in the stands and wondered many times if SS would throw it away. They finally got it together late in third. This is coming from a Hogeye fan who roots for LA and whoever is playing Upperman
I think LA just physically wore them down. They came out like a buzzsaw in the 3rd and clamped down on D. Overall the refs let them play UC style which LA benefitted from. Although they let Greeneville hand checks slide the whole game. Could end up being the best game of the tournament
LOL ahhh yes CPA. I remember about 10 years ago all d-1 recruited starters rolled over everyone without question. Although LA came as close as anyone in knocking them off with Ramsey, McCoin, etc in the semifinal game.
Actually Upperman has beat LA 3 times in nailbiters since then. And it pains me deeply to say that. I feel confident about LA against SD also but stranger things have happened.
Fine I'll use your who-beat-who on this. Seymour beat LA, LA beat Upperman, Upperman beat Greenville. Therefore Seymour beats Greeneville. I really don't buy all the who-beat-who-therefore... Everything goes out the window at this point. After all, who had Soddy Daisy on the precipice of going to State?
The LA game? Well that should have been the final straw for #11. She elbowed Butler in the gut too. I'm pretty sure that whole scenario came from the coach. Dude had zero reaction after the broken nose. Glad she is a tough one.
Yes this seems to be a thorn in the side for the last 2 years. Last night was the first I can remember LA pressing them this year though which obviously paid off. Maybe fear of foul trouble.
IF Upperman and LA both win tonight, what are the details of the coin flip? When would that happen? Who flips? Are reps from both schools present? Winner hosts the district tournament and of course the double bye. So a lot will rest on a coin flip!
