Defintley agree it is going to come down to experience and leadership. That's why I think it is going to come down to Upperman and South Greene. Any of the teams on this list could win a gold ball on a given night. But in my opinion on the big floor it will come down to Upperman and SG being able to win it. South Greene has the ability to have a different player each night score 20+ points and 2 time Miss Basketball Finalist Taylor Lamb. I think SG isn't ranked higher because of their 3 losses. The 3 losses are Bradley Central, Morristown West, (both ranked in AAA) & a very good West Clermont team out of Ohio. If everyone who is ranked makes it to State it will be a good tournament to watch.

I would agree with the bottom half of the list. Top 5 I believe is the top 5 teams. Don't believe it is necessarily the right order though. Upperman is obviously going to be the favorite again this year until someone proves they are not. 2nd-3rd spots I think should have been SG or Westview. With SG moving up to AA this year A lot of people are probably thinking they don't have what it takes for AA and I'm assuming that's why they got 5th. I would move South Greene to at least 3rd. Had 3 starters out earlier in the season and just got them back over Christmas break. They will continue to improve. They definitely have what it takes. Played close with 6th ranked AAA Morristown West with 2 starters out & will play them again later in the season. Think it is noteable that SG went into state tournament 2 seasons ago in 2016 in 5th place and won it all. Westview and Cumberland County look like strong teams as well. Should be an interesting rest of the season with them being back to full strength.

South Greene loses to Bradley Central 64-56. SG was up by as many as 18 points in the 2nd quarter. Both great teams. SG will play the loser of Oak Ridge vs West Clermont OH game tomorrow for third place. Bradley Central vs the Winner of Oak Ridge and West Clermont tomorrow in the Championship game.

Elizabethton canceled Morristown West and Jeff Co. They would not schedule SG if SG wanted them to.

"Weak East TN teams"?? Okay sure. 3 of our losses are to AAA powerhouse Morristown West. We've beaten Grainger twice and they are also in the glasshouse this week. Also SG has knocked out GP twice this season. And we aren't talking about how strong our "districts" are Because that means nothing. It's about how strong the teams are and in that case SG wins over PC.

Anyone who thinks PC is gonna beat SG needs a reality check. Lady Rebels are making their 28th trip to state, which is a record in any class. SG and Miss Basketball Finalist Taylor Lamb are a force to be reckoned with. They are going all the way this year after a loss by only 1 point to Middleton last year.
