I think this Tornado will blow a little harder than the blue one that we have destroyed the past 10 years or so. But, I don't look for much more than a slight tropical storm. The birds will zip right through those slight winds with ease.

I will give the purple Tornado a bit of credit here. Mayfield will be breaking in a new RB and QB as well as 3 LB's. The game is also in TN by TN rules. Therefore, I will say Mayfield only wins by 2 touchdowns.

Put it on a sign in his front yard. No need to avoid us. It doesn't count as anything other than a 1 in the L or W column of their record. The gate would be tremendous. Especially if they do it on a Saturday.

Show this thread to the coaches there and then maybe they will work the schedule out. Because, the fact that we can't get these 2 on the same field with their recent successes is crazy.

I'm sure we would love to play them. Maybe we could do a neutral site.

You obviously know nothing about Mayfield. We play anyone. If we get beat, we lose. It helps us come playoffs. But, we have only lost 7 games since 2009. Every game outside of district play is against bigger teams. Our usual schedule is a 3a team followed by a 5a team, followed by a top ten 3a team, followed by a top ten 6a team, followed by a top 15 5a team, followed by a top ten 3a team, followed by a top ten 2a team, followed by 2 other 2a teams and last a top ten 3a team. That and our old timers think our schedule needs to be tougher.

See how much of this talk could be ended by just getting the two teams together on the field? It could be called the game of champions. Tn vs Ky. They could make a trophy for it. It would remain in Ky though.

We travel well. We travel 3 hours to play 3a Corbin and bring as many fans as they do if not more. They only have to travel 1 to 1.5 hours to play us. In the playoffs we always travel well. We usually had more fans at Beechwood, 5 hours away, than they did. We have a great fan base.

I just checked the Mayfield record book. The record against UC is 22-4-1. I wish we could have started it back before my youngest graduated though. That didn't work since this is his last year. I wish you guys played your state championships on different days so I could come watch you. I truly am for you but, would like to see us start playing each other. It would give us another competitive team within easy driving distance.

The streak is over so now maybe it will happen. We don't worry about streaks here, just gold trophies.

I've watched. It would be a step up. But it would be good for the Tornado in the long run. It would catch them up. Old school 3 back set won't work any longer.

Well, that may not work. We already have to travel 3 hours to play Corbin each year. I guess we need something a little closer. I think Evansville Ind has a few quality teams and that's only a couple hours away.

How far away is Alcoa from Mayfield? We are trying to replace the first 2 games of our season next year and thereafter. Both Fort Campbell and Marshall County are dropping us. I know we are having problems finding anyone around here that will play us. Union City sure won't.

Well thank you. We somehow get a lot of disrespect for our kids in this area. I'm glad to hear that. We do have a great bunch. 2 of our 4 lb's are straight A students. Probably 3 or 4 of the linemen are. The qb is as well. I think 2 of the 4 recievers are as well. But, we always hear folks from the county making them out as criminals. It means a lot to hear someone comment on their true character.

I would like to see if Mayfield couldn't get this Alcoa team on the schedule. We will be looking for 2 teams to add to the schedule next year. The last 2 years our only losses have been to a top ten 6a team. Both of them were in OT.

From what I saw from Milan in the scrimmage against our little Cardinals, they are much better than last years edition. I really love all the discussion about these schools with all that d1 talent. It almost seems like we never have that at Mayfield and always end up beating teams that do have it.
