Wow Sunbright with around 13-15 players beat Wartburg with around 40 players. Sunbright staff was hired not even a few weeks ago and still pulls off the win. This is a huge blow to the Wartburg program and if they couldnt beat Sunbright who is projected to be last in the district they will once again go 0-10 this year. Good Job Tigers

Anyone heard a score on WB and SB?

Harriman will not be better than last year, lost to much talent. Plus they have Travis Tapp as a head coach. They will go 6-4 7-3 at best.

unless you have this thing called proof your just going to be setting behind that keyboard at the end of the season being all salty after losing to Coalfield again. We all know it stings but you cannot be upset at the kid or parents for wanting to play for a more serious program. Play for a team where you actually have blocking which means more catches/yards/touchdowns and might not have to play as many reps as he would at Oakdale. Smart move.

Did they lose him as a transfer who graduate. Lol we are excited to have him as a jacket.

This one is to easy, AE is loaded to the gills in talent! Grace lost tons of talent but who knows what they have added. I wouldn't be surprised to look out there and see 10 transfers and them completely reload so you never know. Rockwood and Tellico could go either way. Wartburg and Oliver springs either way. 1. I'm only stiring the pot trying to get some people excited and give the kids some locker room ra ra. It's all fun and games. GB should compete for first place without a doubt and should make a deep run. They "should" beat coalfield this year but I'm still picking the jackets.

Well I guess we will see Oct. 6th. I think you would be surprised if you got a stop watch and timed your players. I bet they don't have but maybe two players who run sub 4.8 Now I do think they have plenty of quick shifty kids but not much overall speed.

If accurate that's impressive! Lenior is a very very bad team but anytime you beat up on a school with twice as many kids in the school as yours that's impressive. I want to wait and see what they do with Loudon before I jump on that band wagon. If they are as good as what your saying they could easily overtake Oneida and Harriman to be 2nd behind Coalfield. I just thought GB was so slow last year. I didn't see many true skill guys that could beat you with their speed however I did see plenty of tough, stronge, athletic, and elusive kids. Should be interesting. Loudon is down and boy do I mean down but it still should be a good game.

I swear I don't think greenback finishes in the top 3 this year. They are always tough but I just don't see it. Do they have a good QB yes but I don't think he is nearly as good as Coalfields. Apples and Oranges my friends. Just my opinion but Coalfield has a lot more skill talent than Greenback this year. They very well could prove me wrong week 1 vs Loudon! We will all be watching.

Wartburg does now have a good middle school coach as I watched my newphew play them last year. He is a way better coach than what they had before him. It will take him a few years to get that turned around but I think he could. From what iv heard it is true Wartburg doesnt have a coach in the high school. Larry is at the Vocational like he has been for years and is the only coach on staff that is an acutal teacher. The pricniplal Dallas Davis doesnt care about football and I bet he hasnt hired football coaches in the highschool so he can hire basketball coaches. Listen up bulldog high school players if your tired of losing and want actual good coaching and support from your school transfer and expereince it!

#3 in district is Oneida dont get me wrong they will be down this year but you can never count them out, they are well coached and always hard nosed! Look for them to upset some people and play Harriman and Coalfield to the end. #2 in district will be Harriman. They will be talented but lost a lot and isnt the best coached team in the district. They are to unpredictable because of lack of coaching but will be very athletic. #1 in distict Coalfield we return a lot and boys I mean a lot. We will have in my openion the best QB in the state and he has a lot of guys who are around him. We wont have the ol or dl like we have had in the past but our skill players will make up for what we dont have up front. We will win districts and will make yet another deep playoff run.

Harriman will not beat Coalfield this year. Lost to much and Coalfield returns to much. We just shut down Stone who was a deep playoff team in 4A last year. Coalfield will win districts.

Everyone always bets against Coalfield year in and year out. We are going to finish first again this year. Go Jackets!

Trout was the Head Coach at Wartburg when his son played for one year not Oakdale. He then coached middle school ball at Warturg when his grandson played but he was an assistant middle school coach at Oakdale though as I seen him on the sidelines when my nephew played them. Look I wish the best for them and hope they can turn it around, heck I played there, once a bulldog always a bulldog but I cannot support that bunch thats out there right now. Hopefully changes can be made and they turn it around but I doubt it. Until then Coalfield, Sunbright, and Oakdale will contiune putting them in the dirt. Go Jackets, Ill stick by the score.

The problem with Wartburg is they dont want to do the extra it takes to win. They are the biggest school in Wartburg and have the worst record in the county every year how do you explain that other than lack of leadership. I can tell you now if Ronnie Trout is coaching at the high school they will never do anything. My son played for him at the middle school and talk about a joke. He is the main reason we left and went to Coalfield which I said I would never do but it was the best decison I ever made because they actually cared about sports at Coalfield and my son had fun again. The guy only wanted to tell dirty jokes and lie about himself at practices and games instead of coaching. In little league at Wartburg we would have fund raisers for the team to buy shirts or extra gear and maybe one or two parents would show up. We would try and play in the Rocky Top Leagues and the little league directors would try and make us pay to rent the equpitment. Just no support in the whole community parents and coaches included. As soon as we went to Coalfield my sons 8th grade year we seen the differences. Doing the same fundraisers well every parent was there, all stayed after and did extra. The coaches took things serious. They wanted to win! Until Wartburg does a complete overhall of the football programs they will contunie to be a bottom dweller. The catfish of the Morgan County Lake.
