I hate to hear that about your QB GoVols. Hope he ends up with a good rehab although I don't know the extent of his injury. Unfortunately, you are spot on, in our system, no QB no offense. Hope you guys pull it off though. Maybe a surprise rushing attack is in store or a brand new QB will emerge. Either way good luck to y'all.

Intense-it was like watching a slow motion train wreck-think we were shell shocked after the first couple of big plays-looked nothing like the team against Briarcrest-got to refocus but believe in the boys and the coaches

Knox-first downs U 16 B 12; Rush yds U 23 B 88;pass yds U 271 B 115; U had 1 turnover as an interception from 10 Yd line about to score -also USJ had TD called back for holding-Briarcrest is a really good team and lots of talent-the game was a defensive struggle-very proud if the boys and Coach Bradley was pumped plus it was cool with Butch Jones on our sidelines!

Guys-I can only offer my full apology. I just felt like we were getting hammered from every direction and then crazy allegations were made which turned out to be true. I'm embarrassed and sorry-that's all I know to say and we will make it right. Completely unacceptable and no excuses. None. Even the Vols are losing. Been a terrible day.

I just read your post and got mad-I have typed and deleted and retyped and deleted enough TCA incidents that would make your head spin-I'm sure TCA could do the same-Enough!! You want to stir and gripe and pile on and what's crazy is....this is a football thread! It's football! Kublah- I've had crow before and sometimes it doesn't taste so bad as long as your team wins. The QB will only get better as he heals and gains experience. I don't want to blow him up too much, but last year he had better wheels than arm. #32 had 0 catches the first game...again experience with the new scheme, etc. #20 is a sophomore and the first game we had 2 starting LBs out due to injuries- one came back and he returned the strip for a TD. Have no idea how the season will turn out and there are some really good teams on the schedule (Milan, Briarcrest. BGA, ECS, St. Georges) so it's going to be tough. GoVolsKnox knows more about our system than I do, so I think he has a pretty good take on how the season and players will develop under Coach Bradley. I know one thing, we are all sick of rain and humidity! Will be glad when fall is here-

Guys-want to know how long I've been involved with TCA and USJ? 20 years! Families have been involved in both a lot -let's let kids be kids and not interject ourselves too much-lots of chippy play last night on both sides so neither can take the high road-and Intense I'm sorry about what you and your son endured-I was at that game matter of fact I was on the TCA side a few years before when the Memphis Cheerleaders were bouncing cheerleaders off the floor remember? Let's be grown ups and stop reliving the past-good luck TCA go beat the Cards!

Govolsknox- Thank you for the post and well wishes. I agree and confirm everything you said regarding demeanor, philosophy, work ethic, demands and conditioning in the 6-7 months I have known Coach Bradley. I also agree it's going to take some time as some of the stuff I saw went right over my head although I never claimed to be a football guru. I hope CAK does well this year and in the years ahead. As a side note, I hope the Vols do well too.

I think Intense has the game called right except for the outcome hopefully. I watched TCA/St George and the Lions ran the ball really well until the QB went out. But for Hayden you guys were playing at the same pace if not better than the other team. Rivalry games are always hard to predict and both teams will be fired up because they have to look at each other at church on Sunday or maybe at Sonic. This could be a depth game as I think it's supposed to be hot again. 28-21 USJ wins with special teams being a factor.

I respect your opinion and I also respect Coach Marley. He did a lot not only for the football team but for the school. No question about that and his reputation is beyond reproach. I'm just trying to get across and there is no other way to describe it, bad luck this team and Coach Bradley have had so far. No excuses because all teams go through it, but I think the man and the kids deserve some patience before we start calling them undisciplined, etc. In addition, one important factor-- FACS is no slouch. They are not Brentwood Acad, but they are not a bad team either. Matter of fact, unapproved website or maybe it was the state rankings had them 40 spots ahead of USJ in ranking prior to the game. In addition, the Memphis paper had their QB as a dark horse for Mr. Football. I would post the link, but I don't know how. I know I can't change your mind and I'm giving up trying, but as a former player, you and your former teammates are the very people I think the new coach is trying to reach and build upon. You guys were the ones who took USJ as far as they went no matter how many D-1 athletes we had or didn't have at the time. Let's see what happens over the course of this year and maybe the next. I think good things are going to happen on the field because good things are happening off the field and without getting too religious, some young guys lives are getting changed for the better. Good grief Kublah-is this the real Kublah posting? I have seen your posts over the years and you are usually so spot on and non-emotional. USJ may not win another game-I don't know. I think they will but I know it's going to take a little time as this is the first new coach they have had in 27 years and the previous one did not retire- We haven't lost to a lesser team in 15 years?? What about Davidson Academy in 2012 when Garner got hurt and we were up 3 scores and when the sub came in and a few picks later we lost by one? Btw that team had Hensley, Spencer, Buckley, Glassman, etc Half the team Fri nite went down with cramps? It was a lot but it wasn't 10, or 20 or 30--it was 6 or 7 with one very important one not making it back in the game at all. We do have some bright spots and I don't know if the new scheme is going to work but don't we have to give it more than one game to find out? Not even gonna comment about the rushing comment from the other guy-
