I am curious by what you mean 3A system. Unless you mean by playing the best players on both sides of the ball and on special teams? They don't do that at West, I don't believe. Maybe you mean a zone type offense? That kind of offense would only work in 3a ball or smaller I assume as well.. Sarcasm.. To top that off his last year at Loudon he went 13-1 and the team they lost to was one of the best teams in the state, on all levels. Sure you can say run simple plays, however if the line can't block who they are supposed to, or the ball isn't thrown accurate, nor is it caught when it touches the WR's hands, then what? By no means am I blaming the players for all the struggles, because off-season is very important for getting the line stronger and quicker, so that they can block better. Yes there have been plenty of times I have said why?????????????? But if the community, assistant coaches, and players don't buy in to what he is selling, then they can't reach their potential. I am not saying he is the best or worst coach for West, however, since day one there have been negative vibes and doubters. I am not sure of the chemistry between the staff, and how the players feel about the coach, but negativity can cause a lot of issues. But back to the simple plays, you mock his #a coaching style but want simple plays for 5a ball, which has more talent and better defenses? I'm sure the last 4 games on West schedule would love to prep for simple plays.
