Appreciate all the kind words regarding Winn. Had a feeling the Gleason game that was called only minutes into the game would come back to hurt our players stats along with Dresser being out for a game & not playing in many games in the 2nd half. Dresser is a humble kid & much more concerned about team awards than individual awards. He was fortunate enough to win last year & I think he'll be playing more focused than ever (if that's possible). If anything this is just another distraction that he & his teammates don't have the deal with. His main goal is to bring a gold ball back to Dresden with his teammates. Congrats to the other deserving finalists.

You won't be stirring the pot much here. Dresser won it last year & I figured us not getting to play the whole Gleason game & Dresser being out a game would hurt his stats. Dresser has been quoted all along as saying that he really wasn't concerned with winning Mr Football again. He'd much rather win a gold ball with his teammmates. I think if anything he'll be playing more focused than ever now, if that's possible. I'm telling you this group of players, especially the seniors, are on a mission. If they get beat it won't be because they didn't give 110% & leave it all on the field.

No doubt this game will be much closer than the last meeting. I have ultimate respect for UC team & their coaching staff & the winning history they have. I'm thinking UC will protect the ball much better this time & will try to contain Yates. Thing is if they contain Yates that opens up our passing game with Winn & receivers. Line play will be a big factor in this game in my opinion. Our Lions want a little taste of what Trenton & UC had had in the last few years & are focused. I'm going with our Lions but I do believe it will be a closer game.

This is no doubt one of the best if not THE best team that Dresden has ever had but calm down there Revy....I wouldn't go as far to say the best football team that has ever stepped on a field. I applaud you for supporting our boys but tone it down a little.

I would assume Dresden being ranked #1 in the state would keep us at home thru the playoffs.

I see UC winning in a big way tonight

I don't see Peabody being able to score 35 pt on our defense. If they do then they'll be the 1st team all season capable of scoring that much on us.

Every one of them including Dresser have said they just want to make history at Dresden & win that GOLD ball for our little town.

Yates doesn't get enough recognition in my opinion. He has been unstoppable this year. Any of the seniors on this Dresden team would be superstars on another team. They're stacked this year.

I don't forsee the same outcome as last year. This group of players are focused & more mature & they won't be looking past any team. GO LIONS!!

Envoy it might serve you well to figure out who some of the long time posters on the T are before you jump on here saying they don't know what they're talking about. Yso was referring to his son which was a big time player at Dresden. I'd say he knew al little more about the Memphis team since he was a player vs all of us as fans. Yes, we all witnessed a little pre game banter but we also had a few kids that liked to talk snack as well.

I'm a Dresden fan & have no idea who Envoy is. I will say to both fan bases, these are kids your bashing to try to make your player look better. This message board & you posters have absolutely no bearing on the voting. As for Rice, I've personally heard from a few Dresden fans that went to Huntingdon to watch him & said he's an absolute beast. Of course we think Winn is the best QB as well because he's ours. Winn won last year & has been quoted as saying that he's won it already & his main goal is the gold ball. I would have no problem with Rice winning Mr Football & my Dresden Lions winning the GOLD ball! 😉 Best of luck to Winn & Rice.

I wish Booker T parents & coaches could see all the complimentary posts on social media about your players. Those 14-15 players will go far in life because of their attitudes & approach to adversity. Props to Dresden fans, players, coaches & QB Club for stepping in & supporting the opposing team last night & treating them with great hospitality. Shows you that sometimes football is much bigger than the game.

Let me just say that Booker T has a fine group of young men representing them on the football field. They gave 100% every down then joined Dresden boys on the field afterwards making small talk & congratulating our boys. They were true class acts. Prayers going up for the player that got hurt tonight.

Step 1 of your goal tonight LIONS! One game at a time. Play hard & work on getting better & limiting the penalties that may cost us in future games. GO LIONS!!

Congrats Dresser Winn of Dresden!! I hope we're fortunate enough to see two Mr Football finalists playing each other down the road.
